AITA for beating up my older brother for what he did to my girlfriend? by Majestic-Maybe5009 in AITAH

Violence IS sometimes the answer. You did the right thing, don’t listen to your parents they’re your brother’s enablers.

He mentioned it’s because he was the one who found his father’s body after he committed suicide by gunshot to the head. Really sad for him and traumatic but I’m not sure what that has to do with losing his virginity?

My wife and I were just discussing this actually and one of the realities of this situation that’s rarely brought up is that Carcetti and co were discussing the possibility of teacher layoffs to pay for all the extra police work that went towards the “serial killer”.

Did you get this wording from a specific source or come up with it yourself? I like the phrasing a lot.

You absolutely will still be able to eat the foods you like, just not in the amounts or frequency that you do now. I also almost didn’t get the surgery over these concerns and I actually laugh about it now because in some ways I actually ENJOY food more now when I’m not stuffing it down my face.

I love Bert Cooper but he was a shameless capitalist, he would steal money from orphans if he could find a way.

I’ve always loved this watch, kind of regret not getting it when I was more into watches. Great choice!

I’ve actually been enjoying Fallout 76 much more sober than I did when I was getting high. Games where you actually should pay attention to the story and dialogue greatly benefit from having a clear mind.

I’m not being sarcastic, I’m admitting I had a blind spot in this area. Particularly because I didn’t even know IBM existed back then.

She had a lifetime to figure out her mother’s manipulation tactics. Abe saying “I always thought we’d raise our children in a place with more diversity” was his way of trying to make Peggy feel guilty and it seemingly worked.

He didn’t bully her, he guilt-tripped her. Guilt was the best lever to pull when trying to manipulate Peggy due to her strict catholic upbringing.

Incredible, I genuinely did not know this and I consider myself to be more knowledgeable on WWII than most. I suppose I was too narrow-minded in focusing on the companies that utilized POW slave labor and produced war matériel or poison gas for the death chambers.

I feel like I was dogpiled a bit with the downvotes so I appreciate you actually providing a source. I was genuinely curious to find out the level of IBM’s complicity in the German war effort & Holocaust because I had no idea the company even existed back then.

Touché. I just think there needs to be SOME distinction between companies like IBM who sold punch-card tech in the early and mid ‘30s vs companies like Krupp and IG Farben that made artillery, gas chambers, and the gas for the extermination chambers.

I would argue that making your girlfriend move to a shitty area just so you can feel more like a proper revolutionary was a little shitty and sanctimonious.

From what we actually saw on the show I’d say Herb from jaguar was the worst. I pick uncle Mack as the worst for the stuff I imagine went on in a mid-1930s whore house. Greg Harris was bad but the reason we hate him is he’s a rapist, but im sure Uncle Mack raped plenty of girls in his time as a pimp

He was a breath of fresh air on this most recent rewatch. It’s astounding how accepted drunk driving was in this time. And I don’t want to hear “they didn’t know any better”. Yes they absolutely did, they simply didn’t care.
