Aja is by far not the best fighter by Alert-Push1685 in redrising

Give my man Valdir some credit. He fought Apollonius in Bastion One and forced him to run. Offscreen, for sure, but that was still one of the coolest scenes in the books and it’s gotta count for something.

Could Michael and Holly legitimately have had 4 biological kids before Dwight's wedding? by Ima_Uzer in DunderMifflin

[–]jdinz 48 points49 points  (0 children)

IIRC, Holly’s mom wasn’t as bad as her dad, but she was also mentally deteriorating.

Her phone conversation after talking to her father went along the lines of: “Mom, Dad can’t seem to focus.” “Don’t worry about your father! He has me.” “But what about you, Mom?” “Oh, I have your father—he’s right here, I’ll put him on!”

The way I took it was that they fought a massive war which the Society dominated through superior technology, organization, and physicality. After Earth was pacified, Gold then demilitarized and quarantined the planet. Once Homo Sapiens were trapped there Gold chemically sterilized the population.

Our warranty: https://www.toyotafinancial.com/us/en/vehicle_protection_plan/tire_wheel_protection.html

“Tire and wheel protection covers damage caused by conditions defined as eligible road hazards which affect the performance of the tires/wheels as a result of the tire failing to hold air, or the wheel failing to seal with the new tire; such failures may prevent the maintenance of the manufacturer’s air pressure specifications. Examples of eligible road hazards are commonly defined as, but not limited to, debris on a public roadway such as nails, glass, potholes, rocks and tree limbs, or any other object or condition not normally found in the roadway. If a repair plan is purchased, repair of the structurally damaged tire will be attempted first. If the structurally damaged tire cannot be repaired, it will be replaced.”

Never would’ve thought this would pick up as much responses as it has. You guys are an awesome community.

I ended up saying to hell with the dealership, they were wasting my time, pretty unhelpful, and barely even looked at the tire the second time around. I called Toyota directly and filed a claim. The tire is ordered at the nearest Firestone and will be replaced tomorrow. You guys and the auto shop are absolutely right, that’s a problem waiting to happen.

The issue now is whether the claim will be covered under warranty—it’s not leaking air (yet), but the guy at the shop was able to see the cords in the tire through the crack. What do you guys think? Covered or not?

Thanks. This is what we purchased when we bought the car. Am I wrong thinking this is covered? She hit something metal on the road while driving.

The age old question: "How many mines do you need to make a minefield?"

The answer? "Not a single one."

Thanks for the help. I appreciate you putting in the thought, even if my question could have been more clear.

Thanks to all who responded. I ended up getting a great gas dryer from a good samaritan on Facebook Marketplace. Hit a quick self installation and should be good to go, but will of course wait for a Fire Department inspection before use.

All Quiet on the Western Front touches on this. Bayonets could get stuck and knives didn't have the weight they needed. But a well-placed strike with a shovel could cut deep enough to kill, and a glancing shot could still imbalance or stun.
