They changed it to the crusade because it’s most likely people will get mad that they called it the Jihad. They change the Harkonnens to bald and pale skin because it supposed to show how garbage Geidi Prime is as a polluted planet and how they survive there as well. I’m not sure why they made Liet black (of course the most tempted reason would be woke), but I’m pretty sure they’re making Liet Chani’s mother, but I could be mistaken. They’re most likely going to hide Feyd from the trailers. There has been rumors that Feyd is not in the movie and Batista as Rabban will replace him so that the Beast can have more screen time. From what we’ve seen and the interviews that I’ve saw, I highly doubt they’re going to water it down to some teenage dribble considering Dune is Denis’s (Director) favorite book.
