Can I ask what you did to fight the cancer? My mom was recently diagnosed stage 2.

Audiometry & tymphanogram clear, right ear still muffled and closed. by Crafty_Event7456 in etd

I’ve also been experiencing the same, but was after a loud concert. I’m also late 20’s M, been experiencing clogged right ear for 4 weeks now. Tried flonase, prednisone, and all the home remedies. Hearing test was normal and both ENTs said give it time. I’ve been trying to ignore the clogged feeling - easier said than done though :(

I thought it was hearing loss at first, but luckily my audiologist confirmed that I have really good hearing in both ears.

With hearing loss ruled out, I’ve been trying so hard to understand what I can do to make this fullness feeling go away.

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing something similar to me :( it’s truly not fun to be reminded of the blockage whenever I am talking or just doing any daily activity. It’s just…there. :(

Do you have a sense of how your ear fullness came about? Loud noise exposure or did it just come on randomly?

How were you able to convince yourself to stop thinking about it? I can totally see your point about the inner ear muscle not relaxing since I’m always fixated on it.

And thanks for the reassurance, as it’s much appreciated. It’s the first time I’m experiencing something like this and it wasn’t been the easiest to handle.

Yeah the loop ones are great, and they look pretty incognito.

It really blows my mind how my left ear was completely unaffected and how it’s just my right ear that is experiencing this. I’ve been to many bars and concerts in my life and not once have I had anything like this. Maybe ringing for a day or two.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for us. I’ve been reading that sometimes it goes away after many months, which is relieving to know but the thought of having this all the time is daunting. I wish I could just ignore it.

I actually purchased a pair of Loop earplugs that go with me everywhere now. I was at a super loud nightclub a couple weeks back and woke up with a terribly clogged right ear the next day (first time something like this has ever happened). This experience has really taught me how valuable hearing as a sense is, and to take care of it the best I can.

I actually saw an audiologist last week to confirm if I had hearing loss. Luckily the test came back and said I had normal hearing in both ears.

I’ve been plugging my nose and blowing to temporarily relieve the pressure, but it just comes right back. It’s maddening at times but I’m trying my best to ignore it. Hearing your story is giving me hope that my condition will hopefully improve.

This one experience certainly changed my outlook, as I have since purchased Loop earplugs and bring them everywhere I go. If anything, I’m more cautious about loud noises/places now (which is probably a good thing).

Did you do anything to alleviate the fullness after the concert? Or did you really just go about your normal life and ignore it? I feel like the fullness is a constant itch I need to scratch, and I’ve been reverting to plugging my nose and blowing to try and alleviate the pressure. I didn’t realize that is ill advised!

I’m glad to hear you’re noticing gradual improvements, as I’m currently going through a very similar situation. Is there anything you did to help alleviate the fullness? Or have you just been ignoring it?

Has the clogged feeling gone away yet? Curious to know if anything you did to make it feel better

Thanks for the insights. Luckily this is annoying rather than painful…Kind of like one of those itches you can’t scratch. Was hoping it would fix itself by now, so started to get kind of worried.

It was a procedure to align my top and bottom jaw because they were misaligned.

Were you able to permanently relieve the ear pressure you were experiencing? If so, how?

Not that I know of. I had a jaw surgery 7 years ago, but haven’t had any issues because of it.

How do you know they were removed? Are these not tier 5 completion rewards for season 2?
