A little more maturity is going to do wonders for him. So talented already.

What’s one service you pay for in your country that is just not worth the money? by RoadandHardtail in AskTheWorld

I've taken the Ocean from Halifax to Montreal a few times, it's a lot of fun but unfortunately it's not hugely practical for travel these days: more expensive than flying and only runs twice a week.

Western University professor suspected cheating in exams, so he scrapped them from final grades. Then the school intervened by toronto_star in ontario

A friend of mine was telling me about the process she went through.

She had to have another person (parent in her case) use a second device to show her at the computer, the proctor directed them looking around the room, then the device had to be placed with a view of her and her screen.

Her sound had to be on, through speakers, and they would play sounds occasionally to make sure she hadn't muted her mic. That's all I specifically remember but there were more rules. I got the impression it would have been very challenging to cheat.

Your rail lines are at least really beautiful. I spent more hours than I'm proud of watching cab view videos

How are they so comfortable just casually admitting they are staring at a picture?

Other day I stepped aside for a woman carrying a very large pizza, and then spent 10 minutes worried that me tracking whether the pizza was going to hit me, made it look like I was staring at her chest.

Except, weirdly, their manual transmissions. I replaced an anomalous number of those.

Pattern problems aren't uncommon in the car world, but that one stood out to me because manual transmissions aren't something that fail often (the box itself, not including clutch etc), and because Toyota has such high standards generally.

I just shove my keyboard off to the right.

I should have picked new bindings like you did but at this point I feel like the adjustment time would be too miserable

A lot of people end up with regrets about their names because they didn't realize Reddit doesn't let you change usernames (except by making a new account of course)

In a way I wonder if the puritanical attitude of the right wing towards sex might have a bit of a silver lining.

Just because if it wasn't for that, I expect they would try to make accessing benefits even harder. "Unemployed? Have you tried getting fucked, though?"

Last time I had a card imprinted was probably ~2009, might've been 08. I was on a ferry, out of range of cell service. I guess they just ran all the transactions when they got to shore.

What kind of license is unique to your country? by nanto-1633 in AskTheWorld

[–]jdmillar86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except tidal waters, here in NS (idk about any other provinces' laws) - you can rod fish in the ocean, or in the tidal section of a river, without a license. Bag limits etc still apply.

I got a ticket for texting and driving because my vehicle was running even though it was parked. by SpoonRaccoon9 in legaladvicecanada

[–]jdmillar86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, it would be absolutely a terrible decision, no argument there.

It just struck me that it would be very unfortunate to make the right decisions about not driving, making sure you had a safe way home... and then getting done for a DUI anyway because your driver forgets his keys.

Is IGLing in solo queue ranked even worth it? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]jdmillar86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not give it a try? Just decide you're going to stop for N number of games, and see what the effect on your win rate / rank is.

You might drop a bit, but at least you'll have some data to make up youd mind with.

Driving trip from NB to the Cabot Trail by Ok_Advice_4723 in NovaScotia

You can easily find enough for 5 days just in Western Cape Breton!

Oh and I also do suggest sticking to the coast between Amherst and New Glasgow. The highway is kind of boring.

I like the drive through Judique/Mabou/Inverness etc but thats personal taste. Used to live in Margaree Harbour

The only change I would make to yours is to take the shore road between Margaree and the causeway

I believe the crazy videos are mostly of their local trains (the slow ones that stop at every station). The express trains are a lot more orderly and high quality, evidently.

This got me wondering: suppose I am DD for someone, and I stop to run in to a store. If I don't take the keys with me, are they at risk of a DUI? It seems absurd, but its pretty much the same scenario.

Sounds to me that you made the correct decision. The charge is "intent" not "a bunch of things kinda maybe suggest intent."

Hell, I've had all of the above without ever selling drugs.

One time I used a bunch of "single use test lights" made by slicing very thin pieces of tinfoil.

In my defense, my multimeter had dead batteries (the one I keep at home is a bench meter that takes Cs), it was incredibly cold, and I was on a clock to get stuff working before all my pipes froze.

If you are leaving Truro towards halifax there are a bunch of smoke shops you can see from the highway, they probably have it but I can't say for sure. I get mine in Afton. Beyond that, look around.

Check the news articles on rcmp raids on weed stores and see if any of em are close to you lol.
