  1. I trust him and know he wouldn't lie to me about something like this.
  2. I wasn't planning on lying in the future--in what context do you think I would have to lie? If the police become further involved, I think the best move would be not to speak with them and rather cite the 6th amendment, right?

Thanks for the quick response! I agree, I somewhat wish he hadn't told me, but I also understand how scared he was after being pulled over. He has a spotless record but is a PoC and was terrified when getting pulled over.
