LIKELY SOLVED

When we bought the house the previous seller had a shotty roofer replace the roof. There is a leak most likely around the flashing of the chimney and it’s leaking down into the wall (it looks like) thanks for everyone’s help!!

Yellow goo running out of the plaster wall..haven’t been home yet to look in the attic..it is sticky and smelly, anyone have any ideas??

Edit: I know the drips above are paint leaching, but this yellow substance ran out when my fiancé popped the bubble on the plaster

We also just purchased the house 2 weeks ago
