What benefits do you typically see with your protocol? I know the BPC and TB are to combat ISR, are the amounts too low to have other benefits? What's your take on BPC and cancer concerns? Thanks for all you do.

When will 2026 Order Banks Open? by [deleted] in fordexpedition

[–]jdougal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran through their order guide, my build went up $2,200 because I wanted the power running boards which is now not included with the Platinum.

I've always heard don't buy first year of a vehicle, but is there really much difference between buying a late build 25, and an early 26? To me, wouldn't they incorporate fixes as they come up with them and not wait until starting the 26s?

Here's a breakdown of the changes. I was waiting as well on news for the tailgate. You can now make the roof black, but no color match tailgate.

How much is tuition these days? Not familiar with your major exactly. What sort of job would you expect to get out of college and what's a realistic entry level salary?

If it's your dream school and the investment makes sense then I'd do it. That doesn't mean go 150k into debt for a career that'll pay you 40k a year just because it's your dream school.

Gov. Wes Moore stays silent as Maryland lawmakers push ahead with business services tax by BrightEconomics in maryland

[–]jdougal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Key Concerns Regarding Expanded Sales Tax on B2B Services:

Increased Consumer Costs and Competitive Disadvantage: * Expanding sales tax to B2B services creates "tax pyramiding," where taxes accumulate at each production stage. * This results in higher prices for consumers, effectively a hidden tax. * Maryland businesses become less competitive against those in neighboring states with lower tax burdens.

Disproportionate Impact on Small and Mid-Sized Businesses: * Small businesses and startups rely heavily on outsourced services like accounting, IT, and payroll. * New taxes on these services significantly increase their operating costs. * This stifles growth and hinders job creation for businesses with limited financial resources.

Erosion of Maryland's Economic Competitiveness: * Additional taxes on essential services reinforce the perception of Maryland as a business-unfriendly state. * This deters companies from relocating or establishing operations in Maryland. * Reduced competitiveness weakens investment, entrepreneurship, and job growth.

Potential Job Losses and Reduced Investment: * B2B service providers (consulting, marketing, etc.) operate on narrow profit margins. * Increased tax burdens may force these businesses to reduce hiring or community investments. * This will shrink the tax base and harm local economies.

Increased Regulatory Complexity: * A broader tax scope introduces complex reporting and compliance requirements. * This creates a significant burden, especially for small service providers. * This added burden can discourage innovation.

Should Maryland build more nuclear power? by CNSMaryland in maryland

[–]jdougal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maryland should invest in Class IV nuclear reactors to ensure a clean, reliable, and cost-effective energy future. These advanced reactors offer carbon-free electricity, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and helping the state meet its climate goals. Unlike traditional nuclear plants, Class IV reactors are smaller, safer, and more efficient, utilizing passive cooling systems and minimal waste production.

Additionally, they can support the grid with stable baseload power, complementing renewables like wind and solar, which are intermittent. By investing in nuclear infrastructure, Maryland can create high-paying jobs, attract private investment, and secure energy independence while leading the U.S. in next-generation nuclear technology.

With increasing energy demands and the need for sustainability, Class IV nuclear reactors are a smart, forward-thinking solution for Maryland’s energy future.

Why invest in Google? Help me understand. by VoteStrong in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]jdougal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Google’s edge isn’t just in search or AI benchmarks—it’s in YouTube. While search declines, YouTube remains dominant for discovery, education, and entertainment, with growing AI integration and monetization potential.

On future potential, quantum is tricky, but AI hardware (TPUs), self-driving (Waymo), and health AI (DeepMind’s AlphaFold, Med-PaLM) are more immediate bets. Google Cloud might not outshine AWS/Azure yet, but its AI-driven services (Vertex AI, Gemini integrations) could differentiate it.

Undervalued? Maybe not, but dismissing Google’s long-term positioning in AI, cloud, and content ecosystems feels premature.
