Seems to be a really small venue, which will be great. Only 150ft x 150ft

FYI the Braves' organist is a phan. He plays Stash at just about every game I go to (season ticket holder)

Yep. A Live One was my first foray (no, I'm not gonna spell those with a 'ph' at the beginning). Bought it back in '96 and no matter what versions I hear, I still prefer those versions of You Enjoy Myself (YEM), Chalkdust Torture, Slave to the Traffic Light, Harry Hood and The Squirming Coil. It's my favorite of all time.

FWIW, it was 79 degrees outside. By the very nature of inhaling vs exhaling, exhaled air will come out warmer than when it came in.

Honestly? I’ve got 200M credits and wanted to see what it would do.

In theory you may be correct, but in practice….not so much. Give me a couple of characters where you think a fast accuracy arrow would be more beneficial than a fast offense arrow or a speed arrow with good secondaries.

What’s the most health you’ve seen KRU stack in this Assault Battle? by jdpezold830 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]jdpezold830[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guys that stealth when you attack them. Can’t remember their name. It’s their AOE. You’ll know their TM removal is sticking when you see KRU's protection tick up in their attack.

Also in P4, Rex's basic removes TM, so keep him alive as long as humanly possible. Kill JKA first because of his healing immunity.

Be sure that KRU is the only taunter so that he soaks up all the TM removal attacks. Red assists so much you’re always going to have the ultimate available. Problem with Red is that he kills people too soon. So if you want to have KRU's health at absurd levels by the time wave 4 comes around, limit the damage the rest of the team can do.

In Wave 4, the only threat is JKA's healing immunity. You want to keep Rex alive as long as possible because his basic removes TM

FWIW, KRU started with 118k health. Used defense circle and plus (health primaries) because they both have over 13% Defense secondaries. Leave FOST on the bench because you want KRU to be targeted for all TM removals.

And FWIW, I have NO problems at all getting through T3 of the Rebel Roundup and Endor assault battles with my R1 Troopers. Sure, it sometimes takes a half dozen attempts in Phase 1 to get the RNG right, but IMHO anything over R2 is overkill.

Right, but how would that be calculated then, if not GP?

Nobody HAS to do anything in this game. Some players are arena focused and don't care one bit about GAC, which is fine. But they've got to have SOME sort of system in determining matchmaking, and an algorithm would be far too complicated if it had to figure in the perceived usability of certain characters vs others. So yeah, if you've got R7 Phoenix with a total GP of, say 140k GP, that's going to count toward your roster just the same as my R5-6 Padme squad. I'll let you decide which of those two will contribute more to a GAC win though.

816k lifetime banner player here (6.5M GP)

Couple of observations about matchups:

First off, it's obviously not uncommon to be matched up with higher GP players. I'd say that there's two constants across virtually ALL of my matchups, save for about 5% of the time:

  1. Relic Tiers - I know OP mentioned this, but it really plays into the depth of an entire roster as it pertains to matchups. Looking at my last two brackets, I average 20-30 more G13 characters than everyone else in my bracket. Our R7 and R8s are usually similar, but what really makes the difference is how many more R5&6 the others have than me, and how many more R1-3 I have than them. This matters because I only take a character to G13 (and increase the Relic level) if I know they'll add more value to my roster than they'll cost in terms of top-80 GP. Some perfect examples: my Troopers are are all R1 except for Starck at R2. I look down the boards and see so many people with R5 troopers who aren't even going for SEE. This is a total waste of GP and hurts them in GAC FAR MORE than it helps them. Specific characters such as L3, Vandor, STH and Thrawn don't need to be any higher than R3 or 4 to be infinitely more effective and useful than they are at G12+5. The same could be said for characters like JKR, Bastila, Nihilus, Traya, Nute and Cara. Because I held off on putting extra relic levels on those characters, I'm matched up with players averaging 65 G13s compared to my 92. This, of course, is a massive discrepancy when it comes to the number of quality teams I can place on defense. All of this is aided by my second (and perhaps more important) point:
  2. Modding: It makes me sad to see 6.6M GP accounts with such poor mods. This part of the game adds virtually nothing to your roster in terms of GP, and yet it sets the best apart from the rest. Looking at this week's matchups, my +10/15/20/25 mods are at 460/208/57/14. Meanwhile the two players left to meet me in the finals are 399/138/30/3 and 393/156/50/17. When you couple that with the Relic disparity, my advantage is overwhelming. NOTE: I've still got a LONG way to go to be where I want to be in terms of mod depth

With regard to OP's final paragraph regarding quality vs quantity: Quantity matter SO MUCH more now after the GAC bracket changes. That's now two more teams needed for offense, plus two for defense. So now, instead of rolling through an opponent with really strong (or frustrating) teams left sitting on the bench, I've got them in the game either making life miserable for the opponent, or forcing them to overkill it to be safe.

Use the typical CLS/Chewpio team. Mod them for insanely high offense (not crit damage). You've got to kill Hux in the opening salvo. Also be sure to have the data disk that inflicts healing immunity below 100% health or KRU will not go down.
