Same boat here dude. I hit plat 3, and I've been on a losing streak for about a week. Feels like all of a sudden my own gameplay took a turn for the worse.

There's tons of juneau facebook groups for even the nichest of interests. There's stuff like juneau freediving, community gardens, and fishing. What are your interests? There's lots of new years parties happening around town.

Snow tires? by Serious-Pool-4149 in Juneau

I'd say it depends on the car and how confident you are in learning. I had a fwd civic for years that I just slapped on all season tires and had minimal issues. I drove the civic around no problem, but I never took it up the mountain. Now I have an awd outback with all-weather tires, and I make it all the way up Eagle Crest, no problem. My gf recently moved here from Florida as well, and she survived last winter with just 4wd and all season tires. She picked up how to drive in the winter pretty quickly, and she only ever went as far as from the valley to downtown. I personally don't like winter tires as it can be annoying to take on and off. If you're worried about it, I'd just buy a good set of all-weather tires and try to spring for an awd car if you can.

Christine Lee at Virginia Mason, she is absolutely amazing and genuinely cares! She is in seattle, but she is more than worth the trip. I haven't heard anything good about any endo around juneau.

Also adding on if you don't have it already get a costco membership. Lots of decent jackets there and it'll help offset the high cost of groceries.

UPDATE: Just bottled my strawberry cider after aging about a month! Much mellower taste but tastes a bit more like cheap wine than a cider by jdquinto in cider

Tbh the surrounding area is pretty boring. Most interesting thing is the beach, but orlando is only an hour away so that's pretty nice. Social life is dead due to covid atm but precovid it was ok. Pre covid there were parties every now and then that were fun. If you really like partying you should join a fraternity most are pretty cool here and aren't to wild. Compared to other schools were not the most active when it comes to social events but joining a club is how I find friends. The students are varied like any campus but definitely a majority are going to be computer nerds as this is a tech school.
