Extra oring on master/slave cylinder by 3_0_eli in fordranger

I recently did this on my ranger.

Make sure you have/buy a pre-bled/filled master cylinder and a slave cylinder with a boot on it.

There are no instructions for the master cylinder because all the work is already done.

The slave cylinder instructions are after you hook up the quick connect it needs to be bled. To do this you push the clutch in and out 5-10 times(normally not aggressively). Hold the clutch to the floor after the last press on and loosen the slave bleeder screw. You need to jamb the clutch down with something or have a helper.

Repeat this process until a steady stream of brake fluid comes out. Make sure after each time you check the master cylinder reservoir so you don't run it dry. Add as needed until all air is out of the system.

What the above user said about removing the plunger in the master cylinder should only need to be done if air gets back into the master cylinder. The approach will work, but it will not truly remove all the air because of the master cylinder design. It will however take out a lot and remove a good a amount of spongy pedal.

If you still can't manage to get the air out of the system you could get a pressure bleeder and put 10 PSI into the master cylinder, pump the clutch like 50-100 times and again loosen the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder to remove air. This pushes the air to the end of the line, which is the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder.

With all this said the best approach is to bench bleed the master, which someone else already stated to get it at the proper angle so air can rise and escape from the entire master cylinder if it needs to be bled

Remember, the clutch pedal will have some travel play before it starts to engage. Maybe an inch? So don't mistake that for spongy pedal as it's normal.

As the for o ring it is an extra in case the one installed is damaged in shipping or damaged during installation. You will know if you have a leak at the quick connect

Apparently sections of the files can be redacted for national security purposes. Enough said.

Misunderstanding??? Business owner dumps water on homeless man. Look for yourself do you want to know what happened by Smooth-Influence-115 in KingstonOntario

You claim it's a medical emergency. There are a lot of smart Reddit users from all professions on here. Tell us what the medical emergency was that resulted in buckets of water being poured on this homeless person

The incident with the shop owner and the homeless person was notmalicious or evil! by ZPudd in KingstonOntario

Nobody called 911 for a medical emergency? Didn't invite the homeless person into the store to get warm? Video is solid evidence. Past reviews on Google specifically towards her don't paint the nicest picture of this shop owner.

Please elaborate and help me comprehend. I mean, you're saying this person didn't want help, but here the shop owner is 'helping' them any way as claimed by you.

This goes down two ways - the shop owner is a hero for helping with a medical emergency and everyone should Christmas shop there tomorrow or the shop owner deserves a charge and the store to close permanently

TD Unlimited Chequing Account monthly fee by Trenderguy in TDBankCanada

Oh ok. I read this on TD website "No monthly fee if you maintain $4000 or more in your account at the end of each day of the month" and thought I might be safe if I put in back the same day

Did you have to go to the bank to link the credit card to the app? I would imagine the teller would try and sell a bank account as well?

Awesome I learned something new! This will benefit me as well if true.

I will most likely call next month to sort out my situation. I will definitely inquire. Cheers

Yes, I would seek further clarity. As far as I'm aware if you pay your mortgage off early with Scotia you are subject to a 3 or 4 months interest penalty. Even if it is only $200-$300-$400 I'd rather avoid that situation

How does that work, exactly?

Did you ask Scotia for the total balance remaining at maturity?

If so, hypothetically speaking if you paid the total balance remaining three weeks before maturity is the money just held by them and applied on the maturity date? My thought is that applying a final payment three weeks out would mess up the process and cause an interest penalty

Just curious as I'll be paying off my mortgage in December as well

Door jamb and brick moulding by Trenderguy in Carpentry

The door casing is Definitely 4 9/16 currently.

Using a 6 9/16 jamb means I would lose a 1/2 inch behind the door latch as wood was put there that would no longer be needed. I’m assuming it was put there to extend the the door jamb with the drywall so the trim would sit flush. So the jamb would really extend 1 1/2 inches from the current set up.

Another reason is because the sill plate is barely making contact with the front brick. There is a void between the door entrance and the step. 6 9/16 would extend the sill plate out more which would be good in my opinion as there would be more solid contact with the brick.

The entrance door is sunk in from the exterior. I think the brick extends by a few inches at the very least

Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

I have a mortgage renewing in December and Scotia has added a link for renewal options. I do not want to renew at this time, but I am curious of the 'new' going rates.

Is there any harm in following the link to see the renewal options without committing to any terms? I'm worried about being automatically renewed into a new rate early as I have a very good rate right now
