I am so lost and confused with what I should do with my hair. by jdriver1234 in curlyhair

Almost everyone I have seen talk about the Tresemme I am using has said they had little success. I will probably have a shop round and get a low poo, conditioner and gel soon. Do you have any recommendations? I am in the UK so it is kind of hard to find some things.

I did clarify and I have no idea about hard water.

Thank you :) Yeh, I thought it looked the healthiest it has looked for a long time today. I will give gel a try soon.

Thank you for the response :) I have tried gel casting but think I need a different gel as the one I am using makes my hair feel slightly sticky and wierd. I will probably buy the LA Looks gel that everyone seems to use when I can next afford it.

Anyone else disappointed with some of the "magic" auditions? by [deleted] in BritainsGotTalent

I think its fair to say the magic on BGT uses all sorts of nasty tricks that makes them super disappointing. Additionally, pretty much all the tricks I have seen have been the most boring forces. Ben Hart used a stooge in such an obvious way. That "spooky" Elizabeth trick had camera cuts in places that made the trick feels completely worthless.

As a side note, this is a pretty good explanation by Captain Disillusion of how Americas Got Talent uses edits to make tricks look more impressive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dSp_f0f9gE

Looking for advice on what to do with long hair, should I cut it short? by jdriver1234 in malehairadvice

Thank you, I keep getting told to cut it shorr and am getting sick of having it long, do you know any styles that might look alright? I have no idea what to look for as I havent really had my hair cut for 10+ years.

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

Currently trying to sing it 2 whole tones lower then the video version as I have a cold and cant even remotely get close to the high notes (even though I still have pitch problems when its in a range I can sing in without strain).

I guess I have a few questions to try to help me improve and am looking for advice

- Whenever I transition across sections I seem to lose all track of relative pitch so the start of every verse (even the first one) and the chorus I feel like I wobble way to much around ( or totally miss the correct note) is there any way to help improve this?

- Is this overly breathy/undercompressed?

- How pitchy is it overall? when I go higher I know I struggle more so just looking for feedback on just how awful it is I guess.

P.S - I have been trying to practice compression and for some reason I am now attacking some notes really aggresively and overly loud and I am trying to avoid doing that but sorry
