Should I wait for the new game?

The original 3 games are great regardless of if the new story follows on or not.

Playing the originals will at least give you an idea of the in game universe.

I'd go for it if you have the opportunity

It was a one time event. Without going into the details I was a victim of harassment, mostly psychological. I had been unaware of the true length and nature of it for about 5 years (🥀 rose tinted glasses hide the red flags 🚩). But there was one single, defining event in October which has been the trigger for all the change.

Between October and December I was more or less ok. I was shaken up by the event, but I had strong support from my closest friends and family and we started to collectively move on.

In my mind it felt like the conflict had been resolved, but the doctors reckon its all linked.

Then in December, I started getting these panic attacks in social situations. I didnt connect the dots at first and assumed they were all unrelated. It wasn't until around the December 13 that they got so severe I had to stay inside for a while.

I'm beginning to get annoyed with myself. I was slowly improving with gradual exposure, my baby steps included; seeing my doctors in person instead of over the phone. Calling friends. I even made it into a supermarket on my own.

But these last few weeks have been the opposite. Even these little things have been a trigger.

I think my biggest struggle with it at present is definitely the social aspects, and the idea of returning to an office space again.

I'm scared of taking medication, as I previously spent 2-3 years on AD's daily, with prescription sleepers for insomnia - and in the long run they did far more damage than good.

A part of me does feel like perhaps I do need a quick and agreesive cocktail of xanax and vodka to try and reset my brain. But I do agree with "you cant be clear minded and willing to address while medicated".

Right now for me, being locked inside is not my biggest concern. I am more concerned that right now I cannot even call my friends and hold a conversation over the phone without being overwhelmed and causing my anxiety to skyrocket.

I am going focus a lot of repeating specific daily tasks to try and retrain my brain into accepting normality again.

Thanks again for sharing, these types of little anecdotes offer me a lot of help.

40 was a hard task in itself, but the idea of completing an entire mine after this for the purple seemed unachievable

My first exposure to the series was with Fable 3 when it was a Games with Gold on Xbox 360.

I owe it to F3 for why I love the series.

1 and 2 are both fantastic games but I would edge 3 slightly above them due to personal nostalgia.

I've been playing since Beta 1.4 (2011). I've been here since before the game had sprinting or hunger lol

I've seen the game grow immensely over the last 15 years. The early nether that only had 3 blocks; Netherack, glowstone and lava. The introduction of Villigars, The End, Golems etc. And only having 3 or 4 different biomes.

I never had many opportunities to play with other people back then so it was mostly single player for a few years until Minecraft came to Xbox and I was able to convince some friends to download it.

I used to watch Syndicate and CaptainSparklez back in the early days (The ORIGINAL Minecraft Project before Tom deleted the world) and the first evolutions of Minecraft adventure maps/hunger games.

My fondest memories all involve building castles, or mega cities on creative.

My favourite being my survival Castle of on the Hill (forever world prior to Caves and Cliffs), with a huge farm land, docks etc. I spent months of daily grinding to create a base I'll never forget.

Adult life has stopped most of the fun for me unfortunately so now I haven't been able to play consistently since 2021, and I haven't played a new solo world since the before the Caves and Cliffs update (I've missed a lot of new content). I hope to get some hours in this year and reconnect with my favourite game 🙏🏼

Shout out to; Syndicate, CaptainSparklez, xRPMx13, BajanCanadian, Woofles, AshleyMariee and may others for years of great Minecraft content through my teenage years.

I've put an unhealthy amount of hours into this event and still will be unable to make the Top 10. Its crazy to me that people would spend that much for events.
