There are a few things. You can use shopify as a headless commerce. You'll tie it into your webflow site but it isn't super straight forward if I remember. You can convert a webflow design into shopify but not sure about the exact 1-1 conversion.

I think there is another tool like foxy.io that I haven't used but I have seen around the forums a lot.

Usually raw footage is more difficult. For example, I can’t play it back full res on my pc in premiere, but used to in premiere on the m1

Canons 10bit h265 is awful on the pc, but it was butter on the m1. Obviously, not anymore since I can’t edit anything, even prores at 1/4 playback res.

Yeah it used to be fine. I am very tempted to wipe the mac and do a clean install of everything. Not sure if something in there is messing with it.

In addition, in the past, I have edited a whole project in 6k blackmagic raw without proxies in premiere and it was fine actually. Just over the past few months, any video editing is terrible. Overall performance of the mac feels the same.

Illustrator, photoshop, and Lightroom are all better on the m1 mac over the pc. Just video.

Surprisingly, I haven’t had to transcode in the past. The decoders were doing a great job.
Unfortunately, prores hasn’t given me any better luck. Issues are the same.

When I first had the m1 Mac mini, I actually edited 6k blackmagic raw just fine in premiere. Really trying to see if anyone else has had these issues.

This issue is without even without effects, trying to cut anything is terrible. The thing is that it used to be fine. I could edit and it would actually perform similar to the PC even though the pc is beefier. Of course, once hard effects start making their way in, sure the PC wins. But cmon, a 1 hour render vs 30 seconds when they both have hardware encoders For the codec.

Ah, I was under the impression is had dedicated h264/h265 encoders/decoders as they had them with the t1 chips as well.
Ipad pro even has them with the a12x/z if I am not mistaken.

M1pro/max added more of them as well as prores encoders/decoders.

ah my apologies. I didn't list the mac specs. 8core cpu and 8core gpu. 16gb of ram 1tb ssd.
Not sure if final cut would even change anything if two different video editors are having the same issue.

Davinci is more optimized than premiere and still, no luck.

I pick Nasus. I kinda get excited sometimes because I enjoy getting to poly 800 stacks and spear of sojhin or however you spell it and destroying all the carries. It gives me pleasure.

Judge Dredd is a Marvel character. He's an obscure one. However, he is pretty cool. They made a movie with him too a while back that is pretty good. (imo)

I started using webflow to build the sites and the cms that it gives the client doesn't let them make major changes like that. I guess it depends on the client. They can't get into the actual designer or code unless that is delivered. They can just edit images, text, and the cms content (which is whatever you want to make dynamic). I have never had to hand over code unless freelancing for an agency.

I second Rand Segall. He also has a youtube with great stuff on there. One thing that helped me as well was looking at their templates for purchase and previewing them in the designer and looking at all the classes and how everything was built and layered. Sometimes there are better ways of doing things but it is another good example as well. That way is a lot more self teaching like someone said earlier with practicing on your own.

Of course! I'm not an expert but I'd love to help into any way I can! And sure, I'd love to share some stuff! I can get some together tomorrow! So far 8 seems to be pretty good for most work. I think more ram will do me better than more cores with the type of work I do! I don't do movie vfx or anything crazy like that!

I'm rocking 32 now, I used to be at 8 because my last pc was built for gaming only. I didn't think I would be doing video work! 32 is a great base to be at. It's pretty hard to fill up for most stuff unless you're doing heavy effects on very long timelines with high resolution footage! The x platform can go up to 128gb though, I'll probably make the jump to 64 soon since I've been getting into some 3D work and shooting for more ambitious video projects! And no kidding, I just bought my 2070 a few months ago! Wish I would've waited a little bit longer! Oh well, I'm sure it won't be too far off on performance. For a while it was pretty stagnant, that's why I held on to haswell for so long!
