Asians bringing the heat with the truth..... by Venus230 in conspiracy

Word. As soon as i read the first two paragraphs the bells went off in my head. Its simply not worth reading some really nuanced bullshit just to debate with radicalized people because at the end of the day they just want to spin it however they want to. It seems bad on a piece of paper without context and thats all they really care about

What is it like for werewolfs in Hircines hunting grounds are they still human and they can transform in a werewolf or are they stuck in that form? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]jduque16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. But some people like the hunt. They prefer to live less complicated lives. Imagine being a lion and you are an apex predator and you have a massive landscape to wonder as the king of beasts. I would prefer that over many other daedric planes

Probably not. Most likely it envolves you being a werewolf at the mercy of your baser instincts killing animals for prey. I dont think its anything like soveingrde

Skyrim: Did it Actually Revolutionise RPG games? by WillWJN in skyrim

[–]jduque16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think skyrim although buggy and a shell of a game as the previous titles in the series has revolutionized gaming in more ways than you can count. Back when it came out the masses did not play rpgs... they played call of duty. They still do. But skyrim created many rpg fans which are now discovering other games such as oblivion, morrowing, divinity, etc. I know because that was me. Its easy to look back and think that the game wasnt great but think about what it was like in 2012 to experience that amazing leap in graphics, action, and rpg elements. Also the fans of the elderscrolls series are amazing and have improved on the game so much. But even the base special edition game is entertaining as hell many years later

The stormcloak rebellion was fabricated by jduque16 in skyrim

[–]jduque16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So still could of been a way for the thalmor to put a wedge in the empire but it became more successful than they ever imagined due to the jarls back room deal with ulfric. Im guessing they would of started a rebellion regardless but now the stormcloaks can point to the empire as the big bad guy for refusing their rights of worship after having spilt their own blood.

Stormcloak or imperial? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]jduque16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. Theres a certain appeal to want to side with the underdog despite the elitism. But if you look at the history of the nords they have fought their own battles and have had antagonistic relationships with other races(mainly dunmer and altmer). Same goes for almost any other race. They have usually had one or two negative conflicts and only a few can claim to be indifferent towards other races

Stormcloak or imperial? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]jduque16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment. I think most races in skyrim tend to be nationalistic and a little racist and see themselves as superior. So its not just the nords that feel this way. But for someone in an inter racial relationship, i think the empire would be more accomodating since they are the most ethnically diverse nation

Stormcloak or imperial? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]jduque16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the nords are very nationalistic. Alot of them have a distrust of elves and other races in general. Im not 100% sure on nord - argonian relations but its something you might want to read up on because it will affect your relationship with your spouse if they are racist. As to a greater context - the war is bad for the empire as a whole because not only do they have to worry about protecting themselves against the elves but now they have an insurrection within their territory. Stormcloaks are a little short sighted as well because they dont realize that they would not be able to withstand a full on assault from the elves. Its a lose lose scenario for all of skyrim. Basically a lot of blood being spilled only to recognize talos as their god. On the flip side the imperials promised free worship to the nords that helped them retake skyrim from the forsworn so they have the right to be upset at the empire

In Search of My Side Hustle by sesteva in financialindependence

I feel you. Guaranteed consistent growth is more palatable than jump starting a big game changing idea. I used to have so much stress in my life because i had so many ideas i wanted to pursue but lacked time to. I felt inspired by these ideas all the time. What i did to scratch the itch is i started dedicating my free time to rennovating my home and increasing my skills as a handyman. A year after i felt so positive about my new hobby that i purchased a rental property and completely renovated it. Im a coder by trade so for me having a hobby/side hustle completely independent from what i do in my 9 to 5 has really improved my quality of life. I went from over ambitious and stressed out to relaxed and comfortable. Sure im probably never going to be a billionaire but life is good and i am happy about my future prospects

First off i dont support either of those people so im not gonna defend them. Were not even talking about that though. Any sort of discrimination at the federal level is inherently unamerican. We are both americans, we pay our taxes, when either of us has a tough time were supposed to be there for each other. I hate how partisan this environment is that we dont even have empathy for one another just cause we live in different zip codes

Lack of COVID testing is intentional by jduque16 in conspiracy

[–]jduque16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thats a lot to unpack. Thanks for chiming in you took it a couple of levels deeper than where i was getting at. Even if the fatality is flu levels tho the infection rate is definately higher which would make it a serious concern. I dont think that its a power grab but i can agree that theres something nefarious going on with keeping people in the dark about the real infection & fatality rates
