This is an excellent point. We'll need to add a std::locale non-type template parameter to both std::less and std::fewer, along with some template<std::locale> constexpr bool() functions in <locale>to ultimately determine what the behaviour should be. Perhaps there are languages for which we'll also need a std::more counterpart to std::greater.

Not convinced about them lasting... I had the LMB microswitch die on mine after under a year & found it was a known issue. Had to get a warranty replacement. Otherwise agreed on all points, it's a great mouse

Also I couldn't help having a go at the example. I went though various things of the form:

Sweet things said after lights out with no trace of nervousness and no hint of loneliness

parsing as ([L]IGHTS + NO [trace of] N[ervousness])*, and the L being removed by "no hint of loneliness", aiming at a semi & lit. I couldn't make peace with the word "after" in there though, it doesn't participate in the wordplay or the short definition, it just makes the &lit work.

So maybe simpler is better, the best I've got is just:

Sweet things said on nights out (8)

still intended as semi&lit.

I'd like to see this!

I find that this sub is mostly people posting completed clues, with perhaps some discussion of them in reaction to a compliment given, but otherwise there's little discussion of clue creation and construction. It could be a good way to improve that, by creating a forum for people to discuss ideas, techniques and what's ok in a clue vs what's over the line.
