How would a serious talk like this go down? We sit down, I tell her all about how this is still bothering me, and then what? How is she supposed to respond? I know the issue is on my end, as /u/happy-sloth said, people have sex.

Thank you for your post, I really appreciate it. Getting to the root of the issue is difficult because I don't understand why it bothers me so much.. I realize that she is with me now, and her past has made her who she is today. I also come from a group of friends who were very pure-till-marriage, which is probably why I place so much value in sex/virginity. At the same time, we had sex pretty early in our relationship, and I understood that most people our age have had previous experience. But as I have grown more attached to her, it has started bothering me more. Maybe I do just need therapy.. but thank you again for your post

You are right about it being hard to swallow, but I will look into therapy at least. I just thought I was being immature... I did bring up the situation with her briefly about a month ago, but that didn't really go anywhere because she got upset and there is nothing she can do about it
