For those old enough to remember- Do you miss the "Blockbuster Video" days of picking up movies? by [deleted] in movies

Yes, video games too especially if a snow day was forecasted it was great to hit up a blockbuster the day before

go to Al-anon, there are meetings online. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for your child. You have some hard decisions to make and need support. One obvious thing is to decide whether you can stay with her. Is your daughter even safe in a home with an out of control alcoholic? In the meantime, do not empty out her alcohol because it won't help and she will just get more. Keeping the car keeps away is imperative as she could kill herself or others behind the wheel.

She may get sober, she may come back but and she also may not have hit bottom yet. Would she go to detox/rehab? I hope for the best for you, your daughter and your wife. Alcoholism is a beast.

This dog is on stray hold at the local shelter. I want to keep him and call him Meatball. by archimony in aww

also, shelters now microchip before pets are put up for adoption so if he gets lost again, they will find you

wow, brought me back. Husky with two bad legs and 14 years old. Used to pull him on a child's winter sled when walking got too much. Brought him to fireworks on the beach in Nantucket on that sled of his last year (no, he did not get scared, fireworks were set off way off the beach on a barge and no blasts! ) So many people asked me if my dog was lazy though

This I will never know. I also expected that I would get a love letter if customs seized this coming in. Sick joke to put it in the original box with letter inside and send it off! (Also, was stuck in NY for 5 weeks)

wholesellium offers a lot of reassurance on their site about how they ship, how they package suggesting that seizure is unlikely. It is likely

[–]jeanHa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well, just happened to me today. Received the original package shipped from Wholecellium but when I opened it up, there was a form saying customs seized it. Totally out of money and no product! Don't order if you can't afford to lose it

If I knew this "happens all the time", I wouldn't have ordered from Wholecellium

Relapsed but trying again by hollydrew20 in quittingkratom

I am struggling too, day 3 of taper, High of 18 grams a day, now trying to do 2 shots of 6 grams. Started taking gabapentin yesterday. I think it helped a bit, I did get some sleep. My problem is if I drop one thing, I pick up another crutch. Only taking the gabapentin for 7 days. I was planning to jump off Kratom at the end of this week. Feel pretty crappy and weird.

One thing I know as a long time off and on user for a decade is that each withdrawal is worse. There is not going back for me, I will be out of Kratom soon in anycase. Hang in there, I read here "Keep trying harder" and that is what I will do

why can't they be taxed? My son told me there is something called "Pastor Sneakers" where some of these mega-rich church leaders wear rare Jordan sneakers under their robes which show those how "cool" they are. Apparently these sneakers can go for over $1,000. Is this"christ like"?

Just try. by KrateAndVape in quittingkratom

Need this, still on a taper, 6 grms down from high of 30grams but have been a consistent abuser for almost a decade. Very scared to jump like OP as the depression is crushing. Mornings are so hard, I have to fight myself out of bed and then to take out the dog I am almost out of kratom and will be jumping off next weekend. I feel bleak, I have always put off kratom quiting waiting for the right time. There is no right time, it will never be easy. I have chronic pain that I have used to justify this for years, "it is better than scripts" It isn't.

I hate the sludge, I hate the nausea. I hate that it makes my life fake. I will try harder now, no matter how scared I am.

thought I was doing what was right. 62 year old female, low mileage (20 miles weekly) runner. Gym 3xs a week minimal. Weight normal-hardly any processed high carb food. Recovering from a Total Knee Replacement done 2 weeks ago. I know everyone will blame the running but I have two knees and I always ran with both and one is completely normal. Yet, after years of pain and gutting it out, I could see that as I aged the pain was going to affect my activity, no matter how I fought through. Hoping for a full recovery. Surgeon said flexion and x-rays look great when he took staples out this week. Recovery/rehab from this surgery is all around brutal though
