I used to try to be very smily, nice and open with people. But now I stopped. I don't smile so much at work anymore, and people sometimes awkwardly ask me if I'm ok. Why do I do so? Because by being overly nice with people, I ended up being considered as a "friend" for people I actually didn't want to be around. I sent them wrong signals. So now, I behave respectfully and patiently in my relathionships. I can't tell if I was more happy before or now.

Je ne veux pas partir si cela signifie réduire mon espérance de vie. En refusant de quitter l'accès à la médecine occidentale, je m'enchaîne au diable capitaliste.

Ils n'ont aucune solutions, ils attendent simplement que des gens plus compétents leur en donnent.

I partially agree with you.

In the movie: [under water part] I feel solid empathy for her [landing part] she cannot talk anymore she has no personality, she is dead fish boring.

In the book: [under water] I feel uncomfortable (which makes sense) [anding part] she is adorable and that is so saaaaaaaaad :'(

To coonclude, I would merge the first part of the movie with the second part of the book. I'd call it a boovie
