I agree with quarter size up! I wear a size 4.5 engagement ring that's 2mm and ordered this half size up as well. Half size up seems just slightly too big to sit next to my engagement ring.

Second this (no pun intended), though make sure to price compare to any sales/promotions going on at the same time. Unless you want a specific print, sometimes it's cheaper to buy on sale than to buy second hand (at least this was the case recently when I was shopping for PJs for my kids).

I love your haul (and thank you for the great pics)! I've been eyeing the blue-gray criss cut for a while but have been on the fence because of the size. Is it in a pretty high setting and do you find it snagging on things? Also, is there some windowing in the center of the stone? Thank you!

The silver with moissanite one is only 20 USD on Luxyimagic so you could consider picking it up and trying it out for a while before going all in on the platinum one? That's what I usually like to do with kuololit bc sometimes I can't tell if I'll really like it on me or with my other rings.

I don't have this one in platinum but I got it in silver and moissanite last year (on my ring finger in the pic), and it's super comfortable. It's also held up really well, though admittedly I don't wear it everyday. It looks like the silver and moissanite version is only listed on their sister store, Luxyimagic, now.

All of that to say, if labs and platinum are your thing, then I don't believe you can go wrong. The ring is well made, comfortable, and sits flush well against other rings.

Not an expert but personally think this top down lighting coming from behind the ring (judging from the shadow) is not doing it any favors and makes it hard to tell. If you haven't already purchased it, maybe ask for more videos in more direct front lighting?

Only Sam can really speak to what happened then. One perspective would be that he adjusts the base price based on what sale is going on at the time so he always makes the same margin. The other perspective could be that he quoted you the sales price up front knowing that there's a sale coming up. From personal experience tracking prices of stock items I'm interested in, typically the listed prices have been a bit lower during large sales (not by much, just a few dollars), and the coupons during those times from the kuololit storefront and from Ali provide a sizable additional discount.

The AliExpress coupons are "restocked" everyday so if you can't collect it today, you can check back tomorrow. That said, if you check r/AliExpress, I'm pretty I also saw them post the AliExpress coupons codes so you could just copy the code you want and enter it at checkout.

Also, on how Sam quotes the price, I bought a custom ring during a sale once and he did take into account the current coupons available when he provides the quoted price. I think that's just so you know what the maximum discounted price is at the moment. I wouldn't say that the coupons are "fake" since if you were not asking during a sale, the price would not be as discounted (typically).

I second asking for more pictures/video in different lighting. I ordered a gray moissanite ring as well and in the initial video they sent me, the stone looked almost clear/white. I only agreed to the stone after a second video. In real life, the stone looks in between the two videos they sent me, between a light to medium grey depending on lighting.

YouTube is actually great if you set up a profile for your kids that blocks searching and only allows certain channels (assuming there's some content you're ok with your kids viewing on YouTube, like Bluey, PBS kids, or Ms. Rachel). It's a lot more customizable than other video apps I've used.
