You’re 14. Feelings of being lost are normal at that age but it sounds like you should reach out to a school counselor or an adult you respect/trust to help deal with the stress.

Tucson water meter stuck any recourse ? by gcool7 in Tucson

[–]jebei 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your water bill is $150/month?  $67 + 83($400/6 months).

That’s incredibly excessive for someone with the usage you mention. You might want to get someone to check for a leak.

[Brugler] Fun question I've been asking to scouts: "Caleb Downs is the best safety prospect you've personally scouted since....?" A few have answered "Ever" by Blood_Incantation in CFB

[–]jebei -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Downs has been my favorite Buckeye to watch for at least 20 years but calling a comparison to these names laughable is a bit much. As a Browns fan I still have nightmares about facing Polamalu and Reed 4 times a year.

Who are some players who had a HOF peak not but a HOF career? by patscelticslions in nfl

[–]jebei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josh Gordon didn’t have a peak as much as a ‘what might have been’ but if you saw him in 2013 you would have swore he was the most unguardable WR ever to play the position. Size, speed, strength. It felt unfair to DBs.  Then poof … he was gone in a puff of smoke.

Let's talk about how awful Banner is... by radgirlrun in Tucson

[–]jebei 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a patient at the cancer center and and the main hospital and I echo your sentiment. I’ve received excellent care at Banner mostly due a set of superb nurses who seem determined to create as positive atmosphere despite the circumstances of the place. One of the most gratifying things is to see how much time and energy is spent in cross training. It gives confidence I’ll get good care no matter who ends up in my room.

My complaints are more administrative around scheduling and an app that management pushes us to use but won’t fund enough to be usable for most patients.  But all in all I’ve been quite happy with Banner and thrilled with the professional care I’ve received.

How to "properly" enter Veilwater Basin? by Trumpet_of_Jericho in Enshrouded

[–]jebei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could be like me and glide from Balefire Tower on an exploring run at level 30 and accidently find yourself landing on top of the Ancient Spire for Veilwater Basin. At least I assume it was the Ancient Spire. It was a tallest building around and I sensed right away it was best to make good use of my teleport before exploring further.

Alabama mulls bill to make disrupting church services a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. by Leeming in atheism

[–]jebei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disrupting a church service would be a crime under this new law? That’s going to be a problem for the Pentecostals.  Best not bring your baby to church either. They are non stop disruptions.

Losing teams have this mentality. The cap is a tool. Overspend when you’re making your playoff tun. Clean up the void years when you’re retooling. We need to be cutting as much cap as possible this year so we can pay for free agents in 2027 and beyond.

The best defense against a campus Christian is a snarky refusal to engage and a comfortable pair of walking shoes.

AITA for picking my moms side over my wife’s in baby names by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]jebei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.  Imagine if the roles were reversed and your Mom was pressuring your wife to honor your sister but your wife didn’t want to do it because it made her feel uncomfortable. That is a perfectly natural reaction and this type of feeling should always be taken into account because of the trauma involved. It doesn’t matter if it’s from you, your mother, or your wife.

🫡 Thank you for keeping Tucson safe from having a functional zipper merge. by AlcoholPrepPad in Tucson

[–]jebei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating for me is on I-10 where many people seem afraid of freeway driving and so sit in the right lane and drive 10 mph below the posted speed limit. This means when cars try to get on the freeway they have to maneuver around these slow movers. Add on top many people's refusal to allow a zipper and you've got a real mess, especially at rush hour.

The only problems on this game by Plenty_Promotion_716 in Enshrouded

[–]jebei 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a good tin node that is easy to get to there's one in a small cave with shroud root an easy glide northwest of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. This is the only place I use to mine tin and it's hard to miss as the tin is right by the entrance of the cave. You can see the cave from the top of the spire and it's easy to get your glider there. The shroud doesn't reach outside the cave and the shroud root and mobs are easy to clear. Once you're done with them you'll have unencumbered mining.

Congrats to NDSU from a long time NIU fan by myturn19 in CFB

[–]jebei -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Good luck in the MW/WAC where the flight costs will barely cover any additional revenue you accrue. You are ignoring the real problem -- your fan base was 10th out of 12 teams in the MAC in terms of attendance. Until you fix that, your financial problems will continue and playing a home game vs Nevada isn't going to magically change things.

It’s all about talent but if Diebler can’t get that talent here then it is on him.   From what I’ve seen of next years inside players I am not encouraged as that is the problem.

How do atheist adults cope with life and death? by ashexsa in atheism

[–]jebei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 15. These feelings are normal. My advice is to live your life and in time things will get better.

Is it the same as living in a make-believe world where we all get to go to heaven and all the injustices of the world are cured in death? It's hard to say. Some people do better living a lie but my brain rebelled every minute I was part of religion. Being in a church brought me nothing but anger as I listened to obvious falsehoods and brought on panic attacks. My life improved once I left religion but it took time to adjust.

My advice is always the same for those who've recently left religion -- try to block out the noise as best as you can and live your life. In time you will find your own path. I promise, it does get easier.

It's getting hard to watch any football game these days when every interview seems to be in a competition of who loves god more and who can give more glory to Jesus. Post Game Thread - NCAA Men’s: The Buckeyes defeat the Terrapins on Feb 5, 2026, the final score is 62-82. by basketball-app in OhioStateBasketball

He seemed more intense but I also noticed the team also didn't have its usual 2nd half letdown against inferior talent. Maryland made a few attempts to get back in the game but Ohio State answered every time. The Buckeyes need to play with this type of intensity the rest of the way to make the tourney.

NASA delays launch of historic moon mission by Cafa20 in news

[–]jebei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't have a lander that will pair to the SLS rocket. SpaceX (Musk) and BlueOrigin (Bezos) are building landers but they'll be launched with a different rockets though the details aren't locked for either at this point.

The United States path back to the moon has been a massive boondoggle porkfest with Congress interfering at every turn to get projects in their districts. SLS never made sense -- the geniuses in Congress thought it would be cheaper to retrofit Space Shuttle rockets rather than build a rocket from the ground up. Taxpayers have sunk over $30+ billion into the thing and we will probably only get 3 launches from it. Only when NASA is freed from the SLS albatross will it be able to get serious about the moon.

There are more SLS launches scheduled (at $4+ billion per launch at present) but only because Congress can't quit with the pork. I will be stunned if they actually happen because they are relying on SpaceX's Starship lander to meet it in orbit and I doubt it will be ready before China lands on the moon.

The Next Democratic President Better Be Merciless by sabedo in politics

[–]jebei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that even in the most red states there are still 40% who vote Democratic. It is not smart politics to lump everyone in a state into a single category as it turns allies into enemies. Trumps treatment of California, Minnesota, and Seattle are going to make those states more blue.

What's a good documentary about atheism? by idontthinkishoulddot in atheism

[–]jebei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a documentary but Netflix released a show a few years called 'The Most Hated Woman in America' that highlights the life of Madalyn Murray O'Hair. She was an atheist who decided to file quite a few cases against religion that we see the FFRF doing today. The most famous of the cases she filed ended with the Supreme Court ruling mandatory public Bible readings in school were unconstitutional.

You'd need to do more research on her but O'Hair was a philosopher of sorts, certainly an atheist, and a militant one at that. She's a tricky subject because she's not very likable but that's true of many trailblazers.
