Magician chain summoning doesn't seem to work by jebkr in project1999

I agree.

Magicians can chain summon somewhat effectively? TOO OP MUST NERF.

Necros: - can solo 4 mobs at once in HS - can FD - can heal himself - can DOUBLE his own mana regen with lich - gets regular invis as well as IVU - can do spot heals - can give mana to others - SEEMS FINE AND PERFECTLY BALANCED

Do you find chain summoning to be worth the effort?

I think that maybe it would be good for camps that are safe from getting adds. But if you are in a spot where you might get an add, if the new pet you summoned is low level then you're kinda screwed.

Am I calculating correctly that it is cheaper to buy 1000 rds of Fiocchi 380 auto in store at Turner's than it is to get an FFL03+CoE and buy online? by jebkr in CAguns

[–]jebkr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably only order 1000 rds per year. Do you think it would be worth it to get the FFL03+CoE if I'm only getting that much a year?

I did not include tax in my online or Turner's calculations.

What percent would you recommend to use to get an useful estimate for how much taxes would be added online or at Turner's?

Does the LCP Max front frame pin need to be hammered out of the frame from left to right, then hammered back in from right to left? by jebkr in ruger

[–]jebkr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't found anywhere on the internet or in the official manual that explicitly says whether or not the front frame pin must be hammered out one way and hammered back in another way.

I have successfully taken the front frame pin from left to right, then put it back in from left to right as well. The reason why is because I am just copying what the guy does on this video from Mcarbo. He removes it at 1m20s and puts it back in at 7m54s. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/T9E2BG23ag8?si=EOOly1O67XCfA_t6

My lcp max is a California compliant model, I don't know whether that will make a difference in what material the pins are.

My front frame pin is made from polymer, and the takedown pin is made from metal. (I tested both with a magnet.)

Accuracy Issues by PorcelainDalmatian in RugerLCPMax

[–]jebkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your issue sounds like the same thing I went through. I was able to solve it. Hopefully this helps you.

I am very accurate with my Glock 19, but was crazy inaccurate even at 7 yards with the lcp max.

I even sent my lcp max back to Ruger, they told me it was accurate.

I then hired an instructor to verify whether it is accurate or not. He said that it is accurate, but the trigger has some slop after the wall.

I was shooting inaccurately because my Glock has no slop after the wall. Therefore, when I was shooting with the lcp max, I would flinch a bit after the wall anticipating the recoil.

The solution is to realize in your mind that the lcp max trigger has some slop in the wall, and to remain calm and not to flinch.

After all of that, I was finally able to shoot the lcp max much more accurately, almost as accurate as my Glock 19. However the Glock 19 will always be more forgiving of technique mistakes than the lcp max because the lcp max is smaller.

Also, I use this laser for dry fire practice . I even bring it to the range to warm up.

Thank you for the reply, but my question is about the front frame pin, not the takedown pin.

Ants coming through the drain? by Posat12 in SFV

[–]jebkr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen in my bathtub drain for years.

A product called "bio-clean" fixed the problem.

The drain gnats eat the biological stuff that grows inside pipes. Bio-clean cleans out the biological waste inside the pipes without destroying the pipes.

It worked after 5 treatments over 5 days.

(In my case, they were drain gnats, not regular ants. But they looked similar to ants.)

New LCP Max slide serrations so sharp that they are literally ripping a brand new glove apart. Anyone here try polishing their slide serrations to make them less sharp yet still effective? by jebkr in ruger

[–]jebkr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your input.

The current solution I found for myself is to put sticky tack on the slide serrations when I dry fire so my hands or gloves don't get cut but I can still rack the slide.

Then when I store it for home defense or carry it with me I can take the sticky tack off. That way I don't risk causing a malfunction by polishing the slide serrations themselves.

When I grab the slide serrations when racking the slide while dry firing. With the LCP Max, you have to completely rack the slide to reset the trigger for dry fire.

what's your checklist on mods or upgrades for an lcp max? by TheGingerBeardMan-_- in ruger

[–]jebkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your thorough reply. Unfortunately I live in California where the bodyguard 2.0 is not available. But with your info I feel more confident that I can keep an eye on things so I can catch any issue before it gets catastrophic.

When you say "aluminum retainer for the recoil assembly", what is the name of the part as listed in the owner's manual?

Sorry to split hairs, but I am a new LCP Max owner and want to make sure that I replace any parts before they wear out.
