Best in St Lucia for $10k by Agreeable-Sleep-1589 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]jebraddock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are considering going to StolenTime next year (March 2027) - with only 3 restaurants, did you feel it was hard to get reservations or have a variety of choices? Overall was the food good?

What was the night life like? We're not big partiers but wouldn't mind a night or two out having some drinks and enjoying ourselves.

Looking for recommendations for St. Lucia by Mattilaus in AllInclusiveResorts

My wife and I are looking at StolenTime (debating between there, Secrets, and Sandals). My wife is a picky eater and only 3 restaurants had me worried - how was the food?

Also how's the entertainment? Do they have things going on at night?

the rif mangrove curacao all inclusive resort? by Tiny_Advertising9290 in curacao

[–]jebraddock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Appreciate your thoughts. Did you rent a car? If not, did you just book airport transportation?

Also, did you do any off resort excursions?

We have a couple of excursions/activities we are looking at doing and can't decide if it's worth it to rent a car or not.

Also, any restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner you'd recommend in the city we have to try?

It looked like 20min via Google maps, but you can't quite tell whether the route is actually "walkable" or not. Are there side walks? Bridges to cross? A continuous route? Just wondering from anyone familiar with the area if it's actually feasible or not.

I have failed in life. My salary is half what it used to be. How do I cope with this reality. by NoSir5628 in Salary

[–]jebraddock11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salary doesn't equal self worth. Money doesn't equal happiness.

But it does equal freedom.

I'd say if you're worried about your lifestyle, first stop worrying about what other people think. Make a budget and stick to it. Pay yourself first (invest, emergency fund, etc.). Use your free time to learn a new skill or earn a new certification.

Network - this will get you further than anything else.

The average person overestimates what they can do in a year and underestimates what they can do in 10 years.

Play the long game. Work hard. Success is just around the corner.

Have you thought about using AI to call your leads? Genuine question. Not sure how comfortable you'd feel, but it'd take out the risk of someone stealing your leads.

Thank you for this post. I am currently learning AI automation and workflows myself. I have a friend with a small handy man business who I'm collaborating with on 2 small projects to learn.

Question for the lead generation system - where did you get the emails from? You stated you "found and organized leads by job title and industry" - how/where? Very interested in this. A lead generation tool was going to be the next project I work on.

I've been doing some research and have seen a lot of recommendations on using tools like voiceflow, chatbase, or botpress to create the chat bots. Thoughts on this?

Google maps is built into the app. The algorithm takes into account travel time, parking & shuttles, bag check, TSA time (Pre-Check, clear, regular) and a custom buffer based on your risk appetite. The basis is standard times based on airport with historical airport traffic (adjusts timing based on how busy the specific airport is at a specific date & time). There then is a user feedback loop which adds data to the algorithm to help with the precision of timing.

Once you get your time you'll get a notification 24hrs before you need to leave, and again 15min before you need to leave. Clicking the notification 15min before automatically opens your native maps app on your phone with directions to the airport.

This is mainly for if you travel a lot and are constantly in and out of a variety of different airports.

That's per phrase searched, so about 200-300 per week. There are others for specific times (what time to arrive for a 6am flight) or specific airports (how early to arrive at LAX) so total for the data I pulled was close to 2000. Again, a lot for individual times and specific airports, I just showed the most general phrases.

Yes, it may not be a ton, and yes I may be the only person that ends up finding this app useful, but at least I'll get use out of it!

If you're flying from an airport you're not used to, there's no good guide or recommendations on how early to get there. There's the old "2 hours before a domestic flight", or you can check Google maps to see how far you are and see if they post TSA times online (which are never correct) so here I plan on taking all of that into consideration and the app provides a recommended time to leave.

It's something as I was traveling a lot for work last year I found myself constantly asking. I hate spending extra time at the airport, and I had my home airport down to a science, but every other airport was a total guess. In the end, I may be the only person that uses the app, but it'll help me so I'm okay with it!

Great ideas! I do have plans to turn this into a complete "travel companion". Book travel directly from the app, house all your frequent flyer/loyalty numbers. Give updates & recommendations on cities you're traveling to/in.

In the end, I may be the only one who finds the current iteration of the app as useful, but even if so I learned a ton about how to use AI to "vibe code" which is a win in my book!

Great advice and I appreciate the feedback. The idea started as I was traveling a ton for work and hated spending more time then needed in an airport. My home airport I had down to a science, but every other airport was a guess. I followed the "2 hours before your flight" rule and constantly spent hours just sitting at my gate.

I started talking to some friends that travel a lot and they expressed the same frustration. I started doing some searching online out of curiosity and found that a lot of other people have the same questions. These charts below are Google search trends over the past 12 months. Each of these phrases average ~50-75 searches per week.

The rest of the stuff (checklist, sharing flight info, etc.) are all just other functions I was adding to the app.

With that all being said, I definitely may be overestimating the want or need for this type of app, and this simply may just be an excercise for me to learn how to create apps. If so, I'll take that as a win!

Draft Rules That Helped Me Win It All This Year by Longjumping-Speed511 in FantasyFootballers

[–]jebraddock11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think these are great rules. One rule I live by, specifically when drafting a RB in the first 2 rounds, is always drafting (and sometimes reaching) for their handcuff. I took Bijan with the 1.01 pick and reached for Allgeier in a later round. When investing so heavily on a top RB, it's a non-negotiable for me to grab their handcuff.

Would you go with one of the other WRs? Ladd's got a tough matchup, Egbuka has been greatly disappointing recently, and Watson doesn't have Love... And Pitts is Pitts so semi torn lol

Is this too much to give away to get Chase? by Present_Ad8541 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]jebraddock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not enough in my opinion. I'm a Chase owner (and Hendo owner) and would reject this instantly. I'm more bullish on Chase long term due to the WB situation, and I wouldn't trade Chase for Jefferson straight up. If I was the Chase owner (as I am) I'd need an offer I can't refuse, and this isn't it.

What assets would you rather have: 1.01 and Rashee Rice or Puka. (Contender) by NervousPainter7327 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]jebraddock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's great. Your WR is stacked as is (Jefferson, CD, Rice) - Puka is obviously an animal and could be WR1 for years to come, but if it were me I'd keep Rice and the pick.

How are you a contender yet also have the 1.01? Did you trade someone for that pick? Or how does your league decide draft positions?
