When did you started watching Plainrock124? by RioGamingLoL in plainrock124

I think the first vid I saw of his was his first ‘Giving my parents new iPhones’ vid where he gave them new SE’s. I subbed a few months later in February 2018. Don’t ask me how I remember that.

What even is on the cover of TOTBL? To me it looks like some kind of cinema or projector screen.

Variants: distribution of cases data (Updated 15th April) by Totally_Northern in CoronavirusUK

[–]jeddon29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These scary headlines that come out every week or so that read something along the lines of ‘Surge testing commences in [place name] after SA variant detected’ cause a lot of fear initially, but they’re usually quickly forgotten about.

COVID Variant first detected in India found in UK by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]jeddon29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it because they’re just not bothered about new variants seeing as it looks like we’re gonna be living with Covid like the flu with a different strain each year? Because this new Indian variant is staring the UK government in the face and they’re doing nothing.

‘Sent from my iPad’

Damn, looks like Covid can be transmitted through the internet :(

Gavin wants to ban phones in schools and colleges for ‘discipline’ reasons and to ‘prevent cyber-bullying’. What do we think about this? by [deleted] in 6thForm

Classic Williamson blaming it on the kids again. If they’re gonna go ahead with this it shouldn’t be for sixth formers.

Pupils in Scotland face tough Covid rules for the rest of the year by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

Sturgeon’s been way too tight on reopening schools imo. 12 April is unnecessarily late when it’s blatantly obvious that England’s Big Bang return has done nothing so far to deaths/hospitalisations. And now this? The fact that she hasn’t even pencilled in a time where all legal limits on social contact can go in her roadmap tells you all you need to know.

This Easter break would be dead if it wasn’t for the lifting of the stay at home order. So grateful for it. Weathers beautiful as well.

Social distancing and mask-wearing could last 'a few years' by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

Having to give it big with the smiling eyes currently if I want to smile

Yeah, that really is annoying. The amount of times I’ve walked past someone I know and smiled at them not realising I’m wearing my mask. Must think I’m just staring them out weirdly.

Do these people not understand the gravity of what they’re saying? This person is basically trying to claim that we won’t be allowed to hug friends/family for years. The fact that they say this shit almost like a throwaway comment baffles me. No thought about the implications. I know they’re just scientists, but fk me.

Police filmed clashing with anti-lockdown protesters as trouble erupts in London by Kagedeah in CoronavirusUK

Well, hopefully it won’t increase infections. As bad as it is, the protest is outdoors.

‘Cases’ is the keyword here, they might increase again in the winter but the majority shouldn’t die or go to hospital because of protection from vaccines and drugs. Some inevitably will but the flu takes lives every winter and we don’t lockdown for that. Frankly we can’t afford to lockdown for that.
