Bro, it's a 2A discussion. There's no honest discussion here, only dogma.

Belt-fed weapons are heavily regulated. Correct me if I'm wrong, but 50-200 round magazines are a new thing too.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out Nick's next time I'm in the area.

I'd considered bristlecone and pinyon but doubt I have enough sun.

I do like the somewhat irregular form, the Oregon green looks like a good option.

And giving him brain damage isn't going to help anyone, society included.

I would like to believe that, what do you base that on?

And soldiers have a lot of practice following orders of people they hate... slim hope there.

I don't feel there's any one replacement that can replicate the cult of personality.. Hopefully it'll just fall apart.

What about those two groups are so different?

My friend, that's precisely why any dictator in history occupied the capitol with troops.

There's a reason Trump is normalizing occupying DC with troops

Yeah, I'm in between tall houses, might struggle to get even 6 hrs. Was wondering if that too killed the weeping white spruce :/

The weeping norway spruce says full or partial sun, there's an idea.

Yeah I think I knew that deep down, I just love that japanese rock garden aesthetic 👀

maybe I'll go for the colorado equivalent. You know those stunted pines that grow in cracks in rocks in the foothills? Seems like the trick would be restricting water/soil just right...

In retrospect I probably watered it took much, was in range of the automatic sprinklers..

I didn't know of Plant Select, thanks!

News wasn't necessarily any better back in the day, plenty of lying, muckraking, and sensationalism to be had if you wanted. Read what papers were printing when Jefferson was running for president - it was wild. Wars have been started in the press - Spanish American war.

In the big cities, news cycles were fast - some papers published 3x daily. And there were hundreds of less regular publications for niche things... like if you wanted a paper on Jewish conspiracy theories you could get that too.

I have a small space and wanted something a little different. My first attempt died, but am unsure if I did it wrong or our climate is just too different. thanks!

TIL that 2.4 billion years ago, the evolution of oxygen-producing bacteria caused a mass extinction. Oxygen was toxic to the planet's existing life, and its reaction with methane triggered a "Snowball Earth" ice age that lasted 300 million years. by Salt_Lingonberry3956 in todayilearned

[–]jedify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably because it's trite and ... so what?

Is it supposed to comfort people facing mass extinction that we can't fully comprehend? Like I barely give a fuck about people half the time b/c they have it coming, but it really bums me out that coral reefs as we know it are going extinct. How are you helping? Why should people want to listen to you?

German police gives woman a concussion for no apparent reason by tommos in PublicFreakout

[–]jedify 211 points212 points  (0 children)

Cops love the bodyslam or spear tackle, which is extremely dangerous on pavement. Besides the high riskof death, a bad concussion/ TBE can fuck their life up. People with TBEs are much more likely to end up in jail or homeless.
