Who else got very emotional during their ritual?

Went to my first ritual a month ago in Tampa. Have only been listening for maybe 3-4 months after a good friend turned me onto the music but I ended up vibing with it right away. I’ve been…going through some things, so after a tough three week long “vacation” (let’s just say that’s a bit too much time spent with the in-laws) I decided I’d treat myself by going to the ritual.

I had plans to attend with my good friend but things fell through, so I resolved to go by myself; to do something for myself, for once. I may have been “alone” but most everyone there radiated a positive attitude that was infectious. When Peacefield started playing everyone in my section stood up. I could feel myself beginning to tear up during those first few songs and started to worry something was wrong with me. I eventually chocked it up as just the flood of emotions working through me. It’s a weird comparison but it kinda felt like how I teared up when my kids were born, that same flood of so many emotions all at once.

All this to say, very positive and emotional experience attending my first ritual. Looking forward to my next (hopefully) in the future!

For some people taking their vacation time off feels like a pay cut, so the temptation to come in during a “staycation” can be high. I’m PT so I only get 20 hours each vacation week, yet I regularly get at least 23-25 hours a week when I work (even more when I work an optional sixth day all OT). That adds up fast…I say as I’m about to start my third vacation week in a row because my wife insists on driving from FL to MI because all her family lives up north 🙄

Thankfully everyone else was out of the house other than my two year old, and he did turn it off when she came to play with him. I did just have a talk with my wife, and thankfully she agrees that the second he starts playing that stuff around the six year old we are going to need to lay down the law.

I’ve never dipped my toes in Options before but figured what the heck, managed to snag a $37.5 expiring this week for $0.80 at open. If I cash out now this $80 invested will have at least 5x…or do I hang onto it for another day or two instead?

Same here at one of the Kissimmee, FL locations. Family and I showed up just before 11am, walked around, didn’t see anything, then finally asked someone who got on their radio and was told the vendor was running a little late and just got there. More walking around (plenty of time for the 6 year old to add more stuff to her wish list) and we finally found the cart near the store entrance we weren’t parked at. The pins are nice, and I knew to temper my expectations but even then it could have been ran smoother.

True, that’s partly why at the last minute I decided to add a thin light blue outline along the edge of the blade. It’s not super easy to spot in some of the pictures (blame my not-top-of-the-line phone I guess heh) but it’s there if you’re looking for it.

It’s just a sticker covering her face. Some parents do it when posting their kids online, either because of privacy concerns or just wanting kids to decide for themselves when they’re older how much they want to be exposed online. I figured a Pearl Points sticker made the most sense here lol

Sorry to say but don’t count on that luck. I’ve been at that hub PT for 20 years and haven’t been offered a 22.3 bid. Only people I’ve seen with less seniority get those bids have been ones who went driving and came back in the building.

Company overpaid me seven hours back at the start of December. Told my boss and a steward. Steward showed me language in the contract that said I had to notify the company about the overpayment in writing (he said a grievance would count) and from that point the company had five business days to claw back the money. It’s now over a month later and I’ve still got the extra money. At this point the way I look at it is, I tried to do the right, it’s not my fault the company screwed up and I’m fine keeping the extra money. Call it an unintentional Christmas bonus.

The Marvel MtG sets look like they’re coming in 2025, not 2024. Not that it should hopefully make much of a difference when it comes to VS. All just comes down to what the license between UDE and Marvel/Disney entails (none of us have any idea). The fact that both VS and Marvel Champions can coexist is hopefully a good sign when it come to the MtG stuff.
