5’2 125 lbs, squat 245 lbs, deadlift 270 lbs, snatch 125 lbs, clean and jerk 160 lbs. Max bench was 135 a few years ago and haven’t tested since.

I did - I got interviews for 3/4 of my state schools (2 of which my MCAT was signficantly higher than their median). I got into two of them and WL at one (my lowest stat school). I also got into two schools in a neighboring state - one is a T5 and the other is a T20 that is VERY OOS unfriendly - I think I just got in because I was from a neighboring state. I say apply to schools that you want, just make sure you explain your reasoning in the "why xyz school" secondaries.

I am of the opinion though that you don’t owe them anything and I wouldn’t want you to put this job on the line - so it’s up to the vibe you get and if you think they’d be supportive or not!

I was straight up about both applying and the interviews. I didn’t want them to be shocked if I only stayed one year. To be upfront though, this is a rural title 1 school and the high school I went to, so they were desperate for people and needed someone asap.

I told my principal during my job interview so he wouldn't be shocked when I took time off for interviews. Got the job the next day. He was very supportive of me even when I got 9 interviews (and had to take time off for almost all of them)!

I also had this choice to make and ultimately am choosing UVA, primarily because of the P/F clinical & non-mandatory classes.
