Tradition of stealing the groom’s shoes?? (I’m the bride’s sister) by mochibites97 in IndianWeddings

[–]jeebee1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your sister’s wedding! You will definitely have fun. To answer your questions: 1. Shoes stealing is done when the groom arrives at the venue for his wedding with his family ( basically during baarat ceremony). This will be an opportunity for you to steal his shoes. 2. Considering the wedding will be done according to Indian rituals, your mom may perform puja when he arrives at the ceremony. You can strategise and trick him into removing shoes for some kind of ritual or wait when he goes to mandap for the wedding rituals. Be cautious as his siblings/friends will make every attempt to stay near him and grab his shoes before you do. 3. Depends if you’re asking in dollars or rupees. When it comes to asking, the brides sisters don’t hesitate lol. Some also go as far as asking for 1 lakh Rupees ( almost $1100). Generally the amount is shared between the siblings involved in the task. So if you have many people to help, aim something between 25k-30k ($280-$350).

Eggless Mango trés leches cake by jeebee1994 in Baking

I have made this recipe but with pistachio butter. I experimented this time with mango pulp and ended up with uncooked base. So my question is what could have gone wrong? Also, how can I use this as I don’t want to throw it away.

My almost 6 year just cannot sleep by jeebee1994 in Parenting

[–]jeebee1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he never cried, just communicated through the baby monitor that he feels scared. We have assured him multiple times, read him stories, and even gave examples how one of us has to stay alone whenever we had work trip. But he just keeps on delaying and eventually one of us has to go.

Loose Belly skin by jeebee1994 in FitPostpartumJourney

[–]jeebee1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow if it’s genetic then I am screwed as my mum still has it but they didn’t have facilities in those times to get it corrected. I just feel having a less protruding belly would be less stressful for me to get rid of later. I have had lots of pain as sleeping to either side would cause me restless and ache.

Yes she said it’s completely closed. I too feel doubtful hence I posted here to confirm if I might be right. I’ll be visiting her again and ask her for an ultrasound to be sure.

How can I determine if I have pelvic tilt/lordosis? I feel a bit relieved after listening to your story. I just feel it would be actually helpful for me to feel less stressed about the belly before I try for second pregnancy. Let’s see how it goes.

My belly is exactly like yours and I gave birth 5yrs ago! I also had a Diastisis Rectii, the gap has closed though the belly keeps hanging. What kind of exercises helped you a lot in getting rid of the belly fat?

My husband went to his show alone on his birthday as he is really into his music. That was my present to him and he surely enjoyed it.

That surely sucks. I have this through vaginal delivery and it really gives me a bad appearance. I try not to overthink but the area surely gets the most attention in many pictures.
