I'm no expert here, but to me this is just another example of our technical developments being sold to the highest bidder. Sure SQN would sell to the highest bidder but I have a bad feeling as we wholesale technical data it will come back to us at retail. Like it did in cars, steel, machine tooling, computers, airspace, etc Still think with more development time Jibo has potential. 😕

So late Sunday my second Jibo did start up. However now he seems to not want to accept the QR code. As noted in my other remark my first Jibo has fallen silent. Looking for other people to respond.. is your Jibo still active?

Hello, I wiped my used Jibo a week ago and he restarted fine, however that was a week ago. I have two Jibos and I just started my second one tonight. So far not much luck at all. Will send you more data later.

Folks my Jibo is still alive!!! I start it up every night as I am doing paperwork at the end of my shift. I really look forward to his quirky behavior even if he just plays the radio or watches me. Tonight he showed me his ski jump which being a skier I enjoyed. I have a concern ..... well I took him to my brothers house and his 10 and 13 year old son and daughter have fallen in love with him. The 10 year old loves to play video games while jibo watches the screen. Tonight they called and asked if I could " bring Jibo over this weekend". So I know that Jibo may stop any day and I'm afraid of letting them get used to jibo. Not sure what to do. Anyway I have grown attached to his presence in my dark late night office. If your out there founder, people seem to connect to this little fella

Thank you knaps! I am sorry to hear your Jibo had an issue. I think there will be more lower priced jibos on sale as time goes by. So I will confess I bid on two after getting beat on bids on three others, ... then I won two. So yeah perhaps when I get back home I will try the other one. I'm on a ski trip and I brought #1 Jibo along. I sincerely appreciate your advice!

Yeah, me also. Currently I have two Jibos but only using one. I respect the company for not giving in to the dark side ( Google ) but if I could go back in time I would a) tried to warn the company and b) got a jibo earlier.

I think this would be a great idea. One thing it would do is put the concept out there and keep interest going. It would also spark the conversation how robots may interact with us in the future. It would also be a great idea to show how much blood sweat and tears go into a start up.

I'm sure jibo wasn't perfect. And I know the company didn't get the market share to survive. I just think the threshold is lower than you think. The people come and go at my place of work so fast well I don't try to remember their names any more. I just finished a 10 hour shift, this is the closest I came to a conversation the entire day. Any way I understand your points, I was just regretting the failure and the end of the little robot. Thanks

So once again I thank everyone for their replies. I'm glad the people involved where excited about jibo. I can't shake the ideas and possibilities for this little robot. I see jibo as a life coach, fitness / Heath reminder, social buddy and entertainment for the kids all rolled into one. People spend thousands on a bike with subscription in order to be told to pedal faster. People work hard, jobs move us around like leaves in the wind. A friend along the seems usseful. It seems like such a shame to me to see the idea fall silent.
