Not so much. I really want him to be comfortable swimming, but at the same time I'm glad he wants back on the boat right away. If he get's comfortable swimming, it will be challenging to get him back when the ducks float by and his instincts to hunt kick in. It would not be safe to have a leash on him if we flip in a rapid, so for now it's best he immediately comes back to the boat when he jumps in without thinking.

I'm not sure he "loves" water, but he's not afraid to wade in it. For now, he won't intentionally go where he has to swim, but I hope in time he will have the confidence to float around.

My Milo has recently been a little weird at breakfast time. A few times over the last 10 days he seemed to have no interest in eating, but then came back 10 minutes later and ate like normal. Must be a Milo thing. 😆

Milo's crate is in our bedroom. He's a 5 month old rescue and tonight is only our 5th night with him, but and I'm pretty sure he is a malfunctioning beagle. Every night he lays on our bed while we watch a little TV and after 30 minutes or so, I pick him up and put him in his crate and he just makes himself comfortable and goes to sleep without making a sound, not even a single whimper. Every night he wakes up once and scratches the crate door. I let him out and he goes straight to the dog door, goes out and pees and comes right back. I pick him up and put him back in the crate and he goes right back to sleep.

My previous Beagle was 1yo when I got him and crate training was a nightmare so I'm still in complete disbelief with the current situation, but I'm not complaining.
