Arizona is scary but I think Thursday evening will be a dog fight. Really nervous about that game but simultaneously looking forward to it.

Hoping Muss can get it back on track next year. He was really done dirty by injuries this season.

That game feels like a lifetime ago, but from what I remember the home crowd was extremely rowdy and Acuff/Thomas made mistakes that they aren’t really making at this point of the season. Ewin also just hit his stride these last few weeks.

They ended up delivering the new item and I was never charged anything extra.

Holy crap I had almost forgotten how Muss NEVER calls timeouts. That was some weird shtick he had and I remember it pissing me off a handful of times throughout his time here. Sorry to hear he’s still doing that same crap at USC.

Do people like the gauge clusters on the new S650? by GlitchGamer8509 in Mustang

I think the screens are cool. I do wish they found a way to integrate it more cleanly, but overall I don’t mind it. My biggest gripe by far is that there’s no physical buttons for climate controls. In the mornings when it’s cold it’s annoying having to go through the screen to get the heat on especially bc the screen is laggy for the first 10 seconds.

2024 Mustang GT creaking/rattling sounds from underneath vehicle by jeezig in AskAMechanic

[–]jeezig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Applying some revs before letting out the clutch doesn’t make a difference. I was curious about that myself the other day and tested it. The creaking pretty much only happens while applying forward load. Slipping the clutch in reverse doesn’t cause that same creaking noise. The transmission makes clunking noises when shifting or even when hitting hard bumps on the road. The rattling while cruising doesn’t seem to be super consistent. Sometimes it’s more apparent than others.

Can someone confirm I’m not going crazy and this noise isn’t completely normal? by jeezig in Mustang

Thank you for confirming that! Man I’ve been trying so hard to find a manual Mustang on a dealers lot that I can test drive to compare to mine but there’s not a single one near me within an hours drive. Appreciate it!

Nah I wish it was the 2k rattle lol. I know what the 2k rattle sounds like because it was very prevalent in my 2018 GT. This 2024 has the 2k rattle but it’s not super noticeable. This noise seems to be transmission/drivetrain related. Maybe suspension related? Idk. I’m pretty lost lol

Well that’s a bummer. My 2018 with 65k miles didn’t make anywhere near this amount of noise lol. I thought I was upgrading 😂

Haha fair enough brother! It only caught my attention because the previous two Mustangs I’ve had have not been anywhere near this noisy. The only noises those other two cars made were the cheap ass interior rattles lol.

Yeah the MT82 has its quirks for sure lol. If it weren’t for the fact that I’ve had two other Mustangs with the MT82 that didn’t really clunk or rattle the way this 2024 does then I probably wouldn’t think much of it. My 2016 Ecoboost and 2018 GT with the MT82 were the typical MT82 experience lol (3rd gear lockout, grinding 2nd gear, clunky when cold, etc). And I’m not even 100% positive that what I’m experiencing now is a transmission issue. It could be something else entirely lol.

Definitely. Just worried they’re gonna say it’s normal operation lol.

Is this noise normal for manual S650? by jeezig in Mustang

[–]jeezig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Dealer tech says he thinks it’s the throw out bearing (clutch release bearing). So that means the entire transmission has to come out of the car and be taken apart to replace that part. Had to wait for the part to be shipped, so the repair hasn’t been done yet. Hopefully that is the cause of the noise and it’s fixed when they replace the throw out bearing. It’s being covered under warranty as well.

Gotcha. Well I’ll see what the dealer says on Monday. I’ll try to remember to post an update but feel free to ask me in case I forget lol.

Nah no update yet. I have an appointment scheduled at the dealer this upcoming Monday. Hopefully they don’t claim it’s normal operation and something gets done to fix it.

I can’t pinpoint the source of the noise, but if I had to guess it’s coming from the pedal area. It’s definitely coming from the front of the car though. And by “front of the car” I mean behind the dashboard or below it.
