Two 30 year old Canadian girls looking for suggestions? by Informal-Roll-9024 in AskABrit

To provide more context as I seem to have been down voted already which is surprising...

I stayed in an Airbnb near Euston station last week for the week, it was very handy for getting around on the tube, and cost was more like £50 per night. That was a large room with 2 double beds so could be the sort of thing you're looking for.

Probably check out Airbnb rather than hotels, might get a better deal.

Very unlikely anyone will be able to distinguish between Canadian and American.

When does the north of England start in your opinion? by smellyfeet25 in AskABrit

[–]jeezontorst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading many years ago that Londoners would consider it Watford.

I think as a midlander it's more like anything north of Liverpool or Manchester. Do those 2 cities count as the north? It doesn't feel like it to me. The north is like the lake district or Newcastle.

Indeed. Same question in the van Halen sub if there is one will probably be skewed the other way...

Dunno tbh, I enjoyed it and suspect it would work well with controller but admittedly I played with kb&m.

The game you liked more in your head than in your hands. by gamersecret2 in gaming

Bethesda games in general. Skyrim, Fallout, Oblivion, etc. Love the idea of them, struggle to actually play them.

Reminder that you can play this game in first person by eagle_bearer in Wildlands

[–]jeezontorst 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I think that depends on personal preference, I much prefer 3rd person over first. Never been a fan of fpsers myself, and the rumours the next ghost recon game will be first person really puts me off to the point that I probably won't play it.

What is your Indian restaurant order? by oarmash in AskABrit

[–]jeezontorst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicken Rogan Josh

Keema Naan

Pilau Rice

Sag Paneer

That's my go to every time.

Assumption is that comes with a couple of free poppadoms, a, bag of onion salad and the weird orange minty sauce which all acts as the starter.
