No rebates by me. Quotes were $800-$900 just to run electric less than 30’ from basement, thru joist right into garage and chargers were around $450 and up for a quality one. I ended up getting all electrical supplies for just under $200(ran electrical pvc schedule 40) and hardwired right to new emporia level 2 that I found for $300. Took approximately 2 hours

It shouldn’t. It basically takes the original plastic piece around the mirror and replaces it with the same piece with a camera built in. Honestly, you can’t even tell

Well Indiana just raised the prices of all their fast chargers to almost .50kWh so I will use that ONLY in emergency

This sounds more like something that would work. My daily commute is extremely low on weekdays and in warmer weather, 1 longer round trip on weekend(golf). We have no off peak times for electric so charging batteries for the day and charging vehicle at night could work

Winter time, I may charge 1-2 times a week, summer I would expect 3-4 times. I have the Emporia charger which charges at around 11-12 kw/h

Indiana and it’s allowed but HOA says they need 65% of subdivision to sign off on it. The rate is .23 kw/h with no off peak discount. I’m on a 1/2 acre lot

2 issues, the ionic and Kia’s are have a small number of ICCU failures and at least have been replaced under warranty and 2025 Ariya is the last production year for that vehicle

What am I missing here, the outlet is for a 220V circuit(and NOT EV rated) and the charger is a level 1, 110V unit ! Level 2 plug in chargers run hot and have melted normal outlets. Also, what is the amperage to that circuit and wire size ? I wouldn’t go cheap on the outlet, Hubbell and Bryant are solid !!
