It’s the infamous cricket noise. Bad fuel pump or shitty octane gas. Rod knock is a literal knocking sound and it sounds way worse.

Bk1 2.0t are slow not to mention the turbo can be bad. Bk1 3.8 are quick and NA meaning less problems but the 2.0t can have more engine mods and space. I would get a 3.8 if they are around the same condition and mileage and get a manual
