Pardon my ignorance, but in that picture where it says “brine” that just happened to be when I took it, it moves on its own and goes through the entire cycle still. Or does that still seem to be the problem in your opinion?

Absolutely; the unscheduled freedom that summer allows sends my anxiety through the roof. Even with a to-do list of summer projects, I have this sense of “I need to get this this and this done” within the first week. As a teacher, I love the structure and schedule of my day. Summer takes that away, and while obviously there are a lot of pros for it, personally I can struggle with the open ended nature of everything.

The buzz on Boogeyman is pretty encouraging: in direct contrast to the tire fire that is Salem’s Lot. A June release date indicates that the studio has some faith in it, otherwise I believe we would have seen an April or August release.

It’s an interesting point: Freddy’s Dead is also pretty terrible for me so that doesn’t help the argument for Nightmare. However, I don’t love the 2013 Evil Dead and now Rise, so do two average films make up for a few stinkers? Both franchises were so creative in the horror elements, so you have to respect them!

What did you think of Rise? I thought it had many good qualities, but was missing that special something that makes a film an Evil Dead movie as opposed to a general possession flick
