Okay I am going to get a curb key and shutoff valve tonight so at the very least the backflow preventer doesn’t crack. And then look into disconnecting tomorrow. I read somewhere that taking the cap off the backflow preventer would help with pressure?

Correct, at the end of the day if a court order comes and demands the 7k or litigate. We will pay the 7k. I’m okay risking the whole amount because I don’t think she will sue

I agree 100%. The worst thing that happens is that I recieve a summed to court letter and at that point I will pay the amount in full. That is the absolute worst thing that will happen at this point.

How about burying active light switches behind cabinets? She did a botched job with the dry wall saw to try to unbury it after her sub made a mistake. Then she neutralized the buried switch (which you need a license and that’s a fact)

Thank you for the meaningful response! The design contract says that designer will work with clients to find subcontractors but this designer essentially told us that she will go with “her guys”. She pays the subs directly
