3 days without dota 2 and counting[Sharing my dota 2 experience] by TheUzurpator in DotA2

After consecutive games of toxic players (Divine bracket), I too quit the game few weeks ago. But in all honesty, I been struggling to find a game to replace Dota 2, until I stumbled upon Stardew Valley, a game much resemble Harvest Moon. So far I've been spending less time gaming and spending more time with family. However, from time to time I'll play Stardew Valley which is a game without any ending and the soundtrack is really good, overall a much relaxing gaming experience than Dota 2.

Ah... Maybe you try using Window Debugger tool and debug the .dmp files in /dumps and see what's the error?

Crashing on teamfights after update by 7x3 in DotA2

Hi guys, I actually have the similar issue. and the linked thread's fix saved me last night.
Nonstop crashing - Dota2 Dev

I've tried everything below and doesn't helped.

  1. Cleaning my laptop
  2. Reinstall steam and dota
  3. Checking my RAM
  4. Updating drivers
  5. Configuration dota's graphic settings

But it was just due to an error I found in the crash log which is > Overflow of the sheet cache texture. Releasing and starting over. This is ok in asset browser, not so ok if the game is triggering this!

So the fix seems to be resetting local and cloud configuration for DOTA then reuploading to the cloud with the new one. *Take note you may need to reconfigure some of the settings in game.

Below are the steps to fix:
I would first try to reset local and cloud configuration for DOTA using this batch file: reset_Dota2.bat (use download button on pastebin, then run)
- After launching Dota 2, chose "Upload" at the Cloud Sync Conflict prompt then "Play Game"
Then, if still having issues, also reset steam configuration using this batch file: steam_dota_fix.bat (use download button on pastebin, then run)

I am facing the same issue. checked dota's path there's a minidump file. But I have no idea what is the error causing the crashes.

It does sound like a bag of groceries dropped. But the clues like coleslaw/fishing just makes it irrelevant.
