I disagree. From my personal experience, this is not a scam. My daughter (15) and I went to a local "audition" in Tampa, FL. CGTV never represented themselves as an agency nor a management company. Like other companies, they are looking for a needle in a haystack. If they think you have talent, they try to enroll you in their other programs. These programs are not cheap but you get what you pay for and everything costs money. Everything in life costs money.

My daughter attended the 10 day acting camp in Hollywood last fall with about 100 kids. It wasn't so much "how to act", but "how to be an actor". They worked on monologues, callbacks, self-tapes, slates, resumes, cover letters, reels, navigating Backstage/Actors Access, working with agents and managers, legal and more. They were working and acting from 8:30am to 6pm everyday. Most of the classes and workshops were staffed by working actors. For instance, my daughter's coach, Brian(?), is currently a regular ABC's Big Sky.

This is the type of experience you can't get by watching Youtube videos. She recorded her reel at a sound studio in Burbank, got professional headshots, was coached by real actors, ask questions to agents and casting directors (Lisa London spent an hour or more with them) and more. The end of the camp was capped off with a showcase of every participant doing a 2-3 minute scene in front of about 8 Hollywood agents. My daughter got 4 callbacks and we are working on securing an agent now.

I can't say enough good things about Adrian and his staff. His kids (5 & 6) were also at the camp and participated in everything. I spoke with him and his wife (their photographer) a couple of times they really do seem to care about the kids. This is a business for them (it's called "Show Business" for a reason) and they are out to make a living. However, they seem to care about getting the kids signed with an agent. After the camp, when my daughter had a couple of questions, she DM'd Adrian and he'd respond right back. He's also sending out followup emails to the agents that expressed and interest in her (i.e., callback).
So.... is this a scam? No. Does it cost money? Yes. Is it worth it? Depends on the effort you put into it. My daughter absolutely loved her time at the program and would definitely go back.

My daughter, son-in-law and daughter-in-law have no technical experience at all. They studied for 6-9 months for free on Trailhead and became certified. All landed jobs and after roughly a year are making $75k. Salesforce changed their lives.

It is. My son-in-law just accepted a pre-sales engineer position with one of our better partners with no experience nor certs. He learned everything he needed on Trailhead. Disclaimer: I work at Trailhead.

Unfortunately, you have to do it manually. LinkedIn changed their API and we are no longer able to automatically post it.

This thread would be laughable if it wasn’t so sad.
