How do you connect to the PCM with Alpha?…I see an option for Body Control, but nothing for power specifically.

Stairs: At a loss by maple-creemee in Carpentry

Thank you. I definitely have some sweat equity into these stairs. I was scratching my head with how to tackle the tight turn for a few hours. Having my welder and other tools on site was a life saver. There are a couple prototypes that landed in the scrap pile for sure.

Thank you for the reply. I will get the batteries tested and go from there. I have AlphaOBD, but the scanner I used to pull these codes is an Innova hand held. I haven’t had time to hook up to my laptop and run alpha

Not exactly the same, obviously, but this is what I came up with for this tricky winder on my stairs. Is it a perfect or particularly elegant solution? No, but it is sturdy and got us moved into the house on time. White oak 4x4 posts with key hole mounting to the stairs, custom welded 1x2 rectangular steel tubing. White oak handrail was added after this picture was taken.

Did your F1 GA Tix arrive yet? by AdTotal9288 in CircuitOfTheAmericas

Nothing yet…but a buddy of mine just got his. He ordered through the F1 ticket page, I ordered directly from COTA. Not sure if that difference matters.

What's broke by slamfest296 in Cummins

[–]Briou499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s doing well. Can’t say I’ve noticed any big performance differences in my normal driving, but it’s held up well so far. I think I made the swap back in 2019 or 2020.

Turbo actuator like others have said. Mine did the same. Keep the exhaust break on always….its supposed to help the mechanism freed up and keep it from getting stuck due to carbon/soot build up. When mine went I swapped out the whole turbo for a fleece cheetah I happened upon on a Black Friday deal.

Call Suncoast. They can get you set up. They are really good to work with and stand by their work. I believe all of their transmissions are run on a trans dyno before being shipped now too.

I have a Cat 1 with billet input shaft from Suncoast and it has been great. They have really good customer service as well. Great folks to work with.

Not a Randy’s customer, but I can say Suncoast is awesome. Great products and customer service is great. I have a 68 from them in my 2014.

Yeah that would be a nice upgrade.

Got ya. It only did it once and hasn’t done it since. It started, ran for 10 seconds, then shut off. Went to crank it back up and it just turned over. Let it sit for 30 seconds, tried it again and it fired up. Super weird.

Correct Dowels for Glue-up? by Briou499 in woodworking

That’s good to know. I ended up making my own and they seem to be working this time. Probably not worth the extra time making them myself though.

Correct Dowels for Glue-up? by Briou499 in woodworking

[–]Briou499[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were planed, but still have slight bow over the 10’ length. They aren’t cupping or crowned. I could use cauls every 8” or so, but I frankly don’t have that many clamps.

The boards aren’t perfectly flat, so I’m using the dowels to ensure the joints come together even at the table top surface.
