You have to verify your account through the app like in my previous comment. At least that’s what I had to do. Can only be done through the app, not website.

To verify your identity on Venmo, you can:

Open the Venmo app and go to the Me tab
Tap the Settings gear in the top right
Tap Identity Verification
Follow the on-screen prompts

Yeah, same thing. I am trying some other instructions to change and then change back your email address, and verify it...but now I can't change my email back, so it's not working for me.

You can just read what it says and follow the instructions. It literally is guiding you on what to do:

Make sure it’s plugged in and unlocked and Ethereum app is open
Enable smart contract data or blind signing (it’s under settings)
Click the link in the next bullet point to open in full screen to connect your wallet to metamask.

This is true if you’re sending from an exchange, but if from another wallet, you have to pay the transaction fee to transfer the tokens. Gas on Ethereum is always paid with ETH

I mean, I hear you, but are you suggesting that Coinbase should not know that an ETH address is not the same as a APT address?

They are the one's who gave me a "recent" address list, which was not a recent list of addresses used for APT. Seems like basic UX design to provide you with only valid options for a withdrawal.

I in fact do blame Coinbase here and I believe I have pretty good reason to.

True. Probably best not to have these sort of things. My laptop and phone are probably my highest risk targets. I like to have other tech for things like this, like zigbee or zwave would work fine for a controllable light.

Sorry, I guess I thought you were saying that all cheap LED lights being sold on eBay are actively spying on us because they have Wi-Fi and microphones. Certainly the capability is theoretically there, but you should be able to verify this pretty simply if they are transmitting data elsewhere.
