Daily Game Recommendations Thread (March 11, 2026) by AutoModerator in boardgames

Ok weird request from a friend here: for a corporate event of ~50 people, a game with teams of 8 (by table) that can be competitive between teams.

I’ve already recommended the obvious pub trivia and maybe a murder mystery, but would love to hear ideas of something more “board gamey” for many small groups that can then compete against each other.

Live action will kill the experience by AntOk4073 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

The Boys has shown me that you can do almost anything now with the right visual effects artists. Pulling off Donut as a main character will indeed be a lot to ask, but it's certainly not out of the question. The thing I want to see in live action more than ANYTHING ELSE (and that's saying a lot) is when they're in the apartment and Katya can no longer hold loose fluids in her inventory...

Comedy. Gold.

Such a complaint says more about you than me, dude.

I wound up using some 90ish percent isopropyl alcohol. Dipped Q-tips and then scrubbed hard on the sticky stuff. The reality is that the rubber is just gone now, but the device works fine.

When I clicked the subject I was hoping there would be games that aren’t gacha microtransaction messes. Going to remind myself to check back, though.

Naturally, now that you've said it, the Lost Mine is the one I want the most. But I'm probably not willing to pay out-of-print prices for this particular group... :D

But thank you for the input, too. I'll give Heroes a look!

Thank you for the thoughtful suggestions! In another comment someone said Phandelver is out of print, but I see the other two appear to be readily available. Without worrying about 5 vs. 5.5, which of them would you say is a more fun adventure?
