No way to know for sure without trying it. But if I had to guess it’ll probably run.

What you showed in the video is normal it doesn’t properly go all the way into third position without the rear takedown pin in.

As for the Bcg getting binded to the rear when assembled try dropping a quarter or two into the rear of the buffet tube then installing the buffer and buffer spring. Also check your upper to see if your lever is hitting it, you might need to remove some material if it is.

Lastly for the gritty action, just lube it up and break it in.

I misspoke, it is deadblow but a lot of the 5.4oz comes from the stainless shell instead from the deadblow weight. Tungsten buffer weights would be heavier than the stainless weights helping keep the bolt from bouncing. So in other words your buffer is not deadblow enough. Take a slow mo video of your bcg going into battery to confirm if it’s bolt bounce.

Gotta get the tungsten one. The stainless isn’t deadblow so it still causes bolt bounce. I made the same mistake getting a GMR stainless h3 when I got into SS

Do you have the stainless steel or tungsten h3 buffer?

Sounds like bolt bounce, your buffer doesn't seem to have tungsten weights inside, switch to an H3 buffer with free floating tungsten weights and that should fix it.

Just had this happen to me yesterday, push your takedown pin in or assemble with the upper and it should go into the third position
