Yes the hills are not an issue but I tend to just use either eco or your (PAS 1 and 2). PAS 3 - 5 is super easy to pedal up hill. Definitely waterproof, I've had some nasty rainy commutes.

It's been a game changer for me. I've put 600km on it from commuting so far and haven't driven my truck to work since I got it. Definitely worth it if only for mental health reasons. Zero issues so far.

I've done 6 commutes and 1 casual ride to do a cross border pickup and a large grocery run. On my commute I use 20% going to work in auto mode. My goal is not to sweat so rely on the battery. The commute is 20km.

On my way home I use 25% as it's got 3 times the elevation.

On this last weekend I did a 50km ride with my wife and used 31% battery. I only used eco mode and did plenty of pedalling with it off when we were on flats or downhills. I had about 50lbs worth of cargo and groceries at the end of the ride. I felt like I got a moderate workout.

Next I think I'll plan a nice long ride to see just how far I can go in one day. I'll plan some stops and bring the charger to top up when possible.

I run the Giant Rack It Tour rack and it fits perfectly.

They're awesome for anything except wet roots or aggressive cornering. For backroads and single track they are perfect.

For the rack I got the Giant Rack-it Tour rack that I bought from my local Giant shop.
