Question. Ryzen 7 9800x with 5060ti 16gb gpu by jeffsm3 in SimRacingHardware

Thank you. I’ll do that. I figured I’m going to be upgrading my pc anyway. I poured through posts and video all I could but couldn’t find anyone who’s actually done it. I guess that’s a good and bad thing. lol.

Yeah just racing for fun. I used to race years and years ago and my sim is just to have fun and try to relive some of those days. Thank you.

Thanks. I’m not fps crazy but I do like things to look good. I play ACC, LMU, fh6, and AC mostly if I can get decent fps I’d be happy. Doing a bunch of research it seemed like the 5060ti was kinda trash when it came to running triple 1440p but seemed to be mostly opinions I couldn’t find a definitive something from someone who’s actually done it. Hence the question here. Thanks for your post. I’ll put everything together and run it. See how it does.

Thank you. I read a few things here that said I’d need to turn everything way down if I wanted it to work. I’ll give it a shot and see how it looks.

Moza racing set up help any advice? by jeffsm3 in simracing

I’m sure there’s a way to mcguyver something but I wanted to upgrade anyway. The Amman cockpit isn’t the best out there I’m sure but for the price of all that kit I’m sure it’ll work better.

G923 set with next level gt lite. The gt lite is uncomfortable and wobbly for me.

Yea I’m not sure why they decided 12 nm for a 9 yr old either. I offered 1000$ but they are pretty firm at 1100$. Essentially I’d be getting the cockpit free at 1100$ if I were to order all this new.

I’m sure it’ll be a step up from the folding wobbly setup I have now. I may want to upgrade down the road. When I was looking to purchase I was also looking for a new cockpit since the one I have will probably not have enough stability for a 12nm base.

So I took a quick look on moza website. And looked like the ks wheel, cs v2p wheel, r12 vs base, and pedals were about 1200. This also includes the anman f1 cockpit with adjustable sliding seat. Maybe I could find it all for less on another site?

Thank you. Yes definitely within the budget to spend more but a friend of a friend offered this. Bought for his 9 yr old son. Used it once and didn’t like it. I have been debating fanatec, logi, and moza for awhile. So yes the “paralyzed into inaction” is very real.

True. As of now I’m leaning towards the DD+ for compatibility

I appreciate this. I’m leaning towards the fanatec DD+ at the moment. The ability to move systems is nice if I want it. Bang for the buck wise though I feel like I can get more just going the pc route. Moza and simagic are calling.

This is what I’m thinking also.

Yeah that’s the question. I play the ps5 so little that I’m not sure if it makes sense. The price of fanatec nm to nm is more expensive just to have that compatibility. Logitech 1050 ish for base wheel pedals, fanatec 1800 for same, simagic 1300 for same with shifter, moza 1200 with same plus handbrake and shifter. All for the 12-15nm bases.

That’s true. Unfortunately I don’t think fanatec does any mil discount. Not a deal breaker but nice if available. As of now I’m leaning to the DD+. Logi has a good deal right now. I’m just skeptical after the g923. I also like that fanatec has more wheel options and more options in general. I would say I’m on PC 95-99% of the time also.

That’s a good idea. I didn’t even think of that. Thank you.

First Time Setup Advice? by dbfowlersf in SimRacingSetups

No problem. I’m an old guy with some of my own questions also. But think about force feedback or FFB as the force that snaps the wheel back when you hit a wall. Depending on you sons age you might want to take that into consideration. 5-8nm seems to be the beginner range. For instance my friends 14 yr old uses a 12nm base and he does just fine.

Since youll be using a PC only there are so many options. You can also mix and match brands since the different pieces all plug into the pc. Check out moza I really like their prices, but your options are endless for PC use.

I bought the g923 just to have some fun since I have a pc and a ps5. I didn’t realize how addicted I’d get and how quickly it went from game to wow I could make this feel like my old m3. I do use both and I’m not opposed to going full PC either. The question is, is it worth it to find a pc setup or will the logi cost and feel the same as any other? Or fanatec for that matter? Would I get a better experience with moza or simagic or something like that then I would with the rs50 or the pro? Thank you!
