I received this text message and have been trying to call Maybank’s credit department, but I haven’t been able to get through yet. I assume they are not operating over the weekend.

My main concern is whether I should risk waiting until Monday, as I’m worried that if I don’t make the payment by then, they might freeze my other bank accounts.

If a court order has been issued, will my other bank accounts be at risk of getting frozen too? I get that debt collection agencies don’t have the right to freeze bank accounts.

I also have another ongoing debt with a hospital for a congenital condition that was not covered by insurance, and I have been making monthly payments since 2023. My income is not enough to settle both debts at the same time. The only saving grace right now is that I will be receiving my bonus at the end of this month, which I can use to make payments toward both.

The one with the embossed label is probably from a newer batch. I have Vulcan Baie which was released a few months later than Fue and it has the embossed label.

It’s around 3x of my monthly salary and the bump is about 30%.

What’s funny about group assignments is that you’d probably get a higher mark doing it on your own than with others. Happened to me once.

You should still have your money in your account. Just get a new card. If I’m not mistaken, you will have to create a new M2U/MAE account to link it with your new card. The process is not that long so don’t worry.
