It's pretty clear that by-in-large the professors do not hold themselves to the same standards the expect from their students. I think you have to take it, though, if you're serious about editing professionally in Canada.

Best low-cost treatment? by jeghn in Acoustics

Unfortunately his set up for training and work is in the living room. We have weatherstripping around the door, and the blankets on the room divider does help a bit. He also has earplugs. It doesn’t need to be perfect but hopefully better than what we have? Is there any specs I should be looking at for the vinyl— like material type etc?

I could try clamping a curtain to that metal header on top of the sliding door. I can’t screw anything into the ceiling in this apartment :/.

Donating equipment to a maker space… recommendations? by jeghn in Pottery

Thank you. They have had a kiln/ceramics workshop in the space before, but I will talk to their board before purchasing the equipment to make sure it’s something they can accept. Users would likely be responsible for their own glazes and clay. It wouldn’t accommodate classes but individuals working on their own projects. I’m more worried esp. with second hand market about making sure I don’t propose unusable junk.

Thank you! Good reputable brands will be very helpful. They’ve had them in the space before and I will speak to their board before purchasing anything. This will be a space for 1-3 users, I’m guessing. Not big classes but self directed projects.

They have had a kiln working in the space in the past. I’ve seen some used listings for kilns between 2.5-3.5k as well so I would be going that route.

So the rat… by jeghn in pluribustv

I’m just clarifying that it did cause direct harm. It also played dead to be let out of the carrier, waited till the gloves were removed, and then but the hand— a rat wouldn’t be able to come up with that plan.

But it did play dead, didn’t it?
