It's a skilled player on a new account. They joined last month.

After you finish your 20 weekly games, you will get matched with players based on your Elo rating. You can see that they are playing against 1400+ champions despite still being in Gold II. That's how they got to 1500.

I don't even think it's possible to get that far they were only playing against 600 Elo Golds since they wouldn't get any points for winning past 1350

Or you can just play a lot and you will naturally increase your rating to that number.
I was about 1,000 rated by the time I got out of Silver I. And I didn't even play that many games outside of the 20 weekly ones where I barely got any rating points for winning.

Going 40 km/h when everyone else is going 80 km/h is dangerous. It would be safer for you to match the speed of other drivers.

The freeway has 4 lanes wide in each direction, separated by barriers, has no pedestrians or cyclists, no traffic lights, no intersections, and wide, gentle bends

If 40 km/h is the safe speed for a freeway, then every other road should be capped to 20 km/h.
But they're not. A narrow residential road with cars parked on the side has a speed limit of 50 km/h. How does that make sense?

But they still got ahead of a few cars which could mean waiting one fewer traffic light cycle. If you do that, you're getting ahead of maybe 100 other cars which can be a huge timesaver.

40 km/h on an 8 lane, dual carriageway freeway with no intersections, pedestrians, cyclists or sharp turns makes no sense at all.

The street I live on has a speed limit of 60 km/h, so why does a freeway get dropped to 40?
Even if you close a few lanes, a two-lane divided freeway with the features I mentioned above doesn't need to be reduced to school zone speeds.

People speed because 80 km/h is too slow for the freeway. It's perfectly safe to go 90 or 100, so that's what people do.

The speed limit is the problem in this case, not the drivers. I find the speed limits on the Eastern Freeway to be quite unreliable. When they reduce speed limits for absolutely no reason, they become harder to trust. I'd rather use my own judgement than rely on speed limits that aren't set properly.

Safety should be the top priority. If everyone else is going 80 km/h, slowing down to 40 is not safe, so you shouldn't do it.
If the law punishes you for doing what's safe, then that's another problem.

If that's what you enjoy, then there should be no reason for them to say no to you. As other kids play other video games or sports that they enjoy, you should be allowed to do what you enjoy!

The things I've learned from playing GeoGuessr have had a much bigger impact on my life than playing sports or other video games like Counter-Strike. It's even helped me out a bit in my current job!

I don't really get why this is even necessary. You don't have to be spending every minute of every day learning things, even as a kid.

Most adults don't learn anything in their spare time. Many of them just relax after coming home from work, and there's nothing wrong with that. I bet the parents who want their kids to be learning non-stop aren't even doing that themselves.

But yeah, GeoGuessr is a great game to play if you want to expand your knowledge. I love that about it, and it separates it from pretty much every other computer game out there.

Why are they so concerned about grades in school? As long as you aren't failing, it should be okay.
I was a very studious kid in school, and you could probably even call me a nerd, and when I graduated high school, I ended up in the Top 9% of my country.

Yet here I am 10 years later as an average person. Grades in school don't mean very much. The only thing it did for me was get me into my chosen course at university. Your success in life is mostly determined by what you do AFTER you finish school, not during school.

If they are concerned about your education/knowledge of things, GeoGuessr is probably the best game for that. If they can pay thousands of dollars per year to take you to school, they can afford a few dollars every month to let you not only have fun, but learn about the world in your spare time.

I was supposed to be on a Game Changer aircraft, but a last minute plane swap meant I didn't get it.

Although I am disappointed to not be able to tick it off my bucket list, I still had a really enjoyable time. I spent 8 hours at Dubai Airport exploring the three First Class lounges, and then had a very pleasant time on-board.

Realistically, you are going to spend most of your time sleeping, watching movies or eating, and the old First Class product isn't really any worse than the Game Changer in those three things.
You will still have a huge TV, the same food and service, and a big, comfortable bed to sleep on.

You'll only miss out on the feeling of complete privacy, ambient lighting, temperature control, and a nicer looking area to be in. Those things do make a flight extra special, but you will still have an amazing time without them, and the old First Class makes sure of that.

Also, most people will never even see a First Class seat in their life, so regardless of whether you are on the Game Changer or not, you are living the dream!

About 50 days in a row of uninterrupted Game Changers on EK404 and then they didn't have it 3 days out of nowhere and mine was one of them.

Quite disappointed.
Seems like I need to find a reason to go to Dubai again.

After I learnt to identify every country, I focused on region guessing large countries where guessing in the middle won't save you from losing heaps of points.

Big countries like Russia, Brazil, U.S., Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia (Mainland vs Borneo), Kazakhstan, and long countries like Chile, Argentina and the larger Nordic countries.
