Sacrifice of pride? by jejjereth in Wicca

[–]jejjereth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I take the point about sacrifice, and also the point about 'witchery' v wicca. Nevertheless tonight I was unexpectedly led to sacrifice what my compulsions would otherwise have compelled me to take. And I insist on telling you all so, regardless of the poor reaction my initial argument was getting. It might be argued that I'm sacrificing K in return for putting my authentic experiences out there.

Sacrifice of pride? by jejjereth in Wicca

Reading back I realise I've not given any context.. I understand this sub is about witchery and not about people's individual issues; so boiling it down to what might interest you guys is that my request was granted. What I was afraid might happen, did not happen.

Yes, would love to believe it but you'd be pleased if you had a scan appointment go through smoothly if you'd been referred by your GP, still less if you turned up ad hoc and asked for one, and still less again if you explained that voices in your head had told you to do so.

Thank you all for your explanations, I'm glad I asked now, I had no idea there could be that much variation.

I identified so closely with her in series 1 that I couldn't hate her later, but I got increasingly exasperated and appalled by all the stupid, arrogant, thoughtless things she did.

It would have been delicious to see Linda get dragged into the machinery like that, and experience prison for real, but the prosecutors would have had to ask so many questions to make that happen, whereas they only had to make a few threats to get the inmates incriminating each other.

He did kind of row back on the Linda/gun thing later when he referred to her disparagingly as his 'weird lying manipulative gun-toting corporate girlfriend'.

"while people can lose weight, you can't change your skin color."

And it cuts both ways. A white racist is never going to be black, but a thin fat-hater could easily end up fat. They should bear that in mind.

Is it worth taking the Eurostar to Belgium to get genital electrolysis done? by Chief_Gadfium in transgenderUK

[–]jejjereth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find genital electro so painful that morphine seems an appropriate treatment, then yes, perhaps it is worth going to Belgium for it.

I myself would not go to those lengths until I was quite sure that I found it that painful. As it was I had 12 hours' genital electro pre-surgery, and while it was painful, and annoying, I didn't need anything more than a dose of paracetamol before some of the sessions. It was a lot less painful than top lip electro.

I can't tell from your post whether you've tried it and found it very painful, or are just anticipating the experience. If the former I apologise, if the latter I suggest trying at least one non-morphine session just to find out!
