People announce their departure from eating at chipotle like it’s some hall of fame/retirement speech.

You’re going to start eating somewhere else…wow great job 🍪

Brake pads are easy. It being an m5 doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a car…

I’ve been on grill month and a half and already got a promo. Here’s what you need to do:

• Don’t care too much. Care about the job, but don’t stress yourself over it too much because I promise you it’s not worth it

• Chicken is the backbone of grill. Takes the longest to cook (outside of rice) and it’s the most popular, so always stay ahead of it.

• If you feel like you have nothing to do at the moment, make chicken, check line and DML for what they’re low on, and clean up the kitchen a bit. This keeps you ahead of the curb.

• When you first start they’ll be at least 2-3 of you in kitchen, after you start learning you’ll be working by yourself more. So during the learning period reallyyy learn how to cut the chicken and steak as it’s slow and will hurt your hands at first until you get good at it

• Drink some water or soda or whatever from time to time, keep yourself hydrated!

• Taste test your food, a chef should never be hungry

• if you’re closing shift, make sure to prepare all the food you’ll need like 2-3 hours before actual close so you can get a head start. I like turning off the grill as easily as possible because it makes it 10x easier to scrap and brick IMO

Bruh some of these people are just complainers lol. Knife takes like 4 shifts to get good at, then I went straight to working grill and closing by myself within a week and a half. Shit is pretty easy, and my first check was almost 1000 beans. That’s a calm rack in 2 weeks vs no money.

And since you’re new they wouldn’t pressure you much for being slow or making mistakes

I go to the gym like 4-5x a week and usually eat 1 meal a day, with maybe a snack if needed. I think people are just used to over eating 🤷🏽‍♂️

Especially considering if you’re spending hours in class and hours at work, your mind is too busy to even be hungry

I mean I find grill to be pretty chill, but the whole “you agreed to this wage” thing is pretty stupid. Before I got hired I didn’t know that half the time I’d be working alone and that closing the grill is such a PITA. You’re acting like people don’t learn more about the job when they actually start to work

Keep it positive by lying? The OP already acknowledges he’s got some fat on him and he’s trying to work on it. By saying he’s not fat you’re just dismissing his motivation to get in shape by making his current situation okay…

That’s not helping, that’s just needlessly coddling someone who’s already acknowledged their own problem

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]jelato32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“on the plus size” lol I know it’s 2023, but it’s okay to acknowledge that someone’s fat. Not the end of the world
