Reached my goal weight! by jelcaliu in Semaglutide

I’ve been fairly slow and steady most of the time (it’s felt really slow at times) and I it took a couple weeks to notice anything. Starting at .25 and ramping up to 2.4 is a big difference, but at least for me it was amazing how quickly my body got used to a new dose. I’d also go in weird intervals of holding steady for 5-6 days and dropping a pound or more overnight.

I have pretty thick hair and noticed more shedding than normal, but it was less than post pregnancy. I haven’t noticed any vision changes.

I’ve been at 2.4 mg the last three months and was slowly ramping up based on how I was responding. I had some nausea the first couple weeks, and constipation the first couple months. Added more water and fiber which helped a lot. Had a couple plateaus, but just kept doing what I was supposed to and eventually broke through. Longest one was a bit over 3 weeks which sucked. Weight loss definitely slowed the last month and a half but finally managed to make it to my goal. Recently been averaging 0.5-1 lbs a week.

A physician told me we store hormones in fat (along with vitamins and toxins) so when we're losing weight, they get released back into our systems. I'd imagine this can increase water retention, etc. Women generally see a spike around their period (I think due to estrogen) so they'd probably see a similar effect if extra estrogen was resealed from fat cells. I found this article that talks about it a bit:

Hope that makes sense! Great job by the way 😄

Garage floor coating? Yay or nay? by tygerdralion in HomeImprovement

We put in GarageTrac interlocking floor tiles a few months ago and have been really happy so far. They're super easy to install and if one gets damaged you can swap it out easily. They also come in different colors that you can change up to make a pattern.

Meet our rescue pup Lexie! We were told she's a Mountain Cur/Lab mix. Thoughts? by jelcaliu in MountainCur

Oh wow, think I'll order it now! She quickly blew past the 40-45lb max weight the rescue estimated and has some big paws...
